September has been full of fun, creativity, exploration, and amazing adventures!
Our children and young people had a fantastic month, filled with exciting activities and lots of opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills and have fun together.

Our STEM sessions have been out of this world! We’ve been learning all about space, pretending to put on our moon boots to become real-life astronauts travelling to the space station 🚀👩‍🚀

As Autumn has arrived, we explored the changes that happen around us during each season. Our children and young people worked together to sort different leaves by colour, size and texture, making it a great hands-on learning experience 🍂

Arts and crafts have been great fun too! We’ve been busy creating scarecrows, aliens👽 and so much more, letting our imaginations run wild 🎨🖌️

From building amazing creations with LEGO and magnetic tiles to drawing masterpieces, our children and young people have produced a fantastic variety of wonderful creations.

It’s been fantastic to see our children and young people engaging, creating, exploring and enjoying themselves throughout September!

We’re looking for the right person to join our SEND Activities & Short Breaks Team at POINT.

This rewarding role involves supporting the development and delivery of inclusive activities and social opportunities for children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities across Oldham.

You’ll help create safe, engaging and enjoyable experiences that promote wellbeing, participation and positive outcomes.

⏰ 24 hours per week, rota-based, including evenings and weekends
📍 Based across venues in Oldham and at our Chadderton office
📅 Applications close on 12 October

AUTUMN TERM 2 & WINTER HOLIDAY SESSIONS ARE HERE!

Our next programme of fun, inclusive activities for children and young people with additional needs in Oldham is now available to book.

Autumn Term 2 (2 November – 20 December)
Our programme includes a range of fun, inclusive sessions for children and young people to enjoy, make friends, build confidence and develop independence.

Winter Holiday Sessions (21 & 22 December)
We’ll be running festive sessions on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd December.

Still looking for activities in September or October?
We still have spaces available on selected sessions, so get in touch to find out more and check availability.

Lunchtime day 2 of the Miles for Myles fundraiser and the team have passed Preston enroute to Myles home in Blackpool.

They are looking Fresh considering they have been treking since 8am yesterday and the latest addition to the POINT family was there to offer his support!

Our amazing fundraisers have left Blackburn this morning in the rain to complete Day 2 of our Mile for MYLES fundraiser to create a new Mental Health and Grief Support Service in memory of MYLES.

Yesterday even the wildlife came out to show support!
