Producing exquisite handmade bathroom cosmetics in the heart of the beautiful South Staffordshire countryside, Stable House makes all natural products at its converted stable, which also has a delightful shop open to the public with exposed beams and wood burning stoves. In addition to the shop and the production area there is also a school where from September 2012 Stable House will be holding regular courses including soap making and spa.

Mabon is known as the Autumn Equinox, it’s celebrated each year between September 20–23 in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s the moment when day and night stand in perfect balance, before the darkness begins to grow. 🍂
Mabon is named after Mabon ap Modron, a Welsh mythic figure associated with youth, rebirth, and the hidden light within darkness. The festival blends Celtic lore with modern witchcraft, creating a celebration of balance, gratitude and transition.🌾🍎

Mabon is a time to celebrate abundance and reflect on what we’ve gathered and prepared for the slower and darker months ahead. Just as the earth shifts, we invite you to seek balance within ourselves, between light and shadow, work and rest, giving and receiving. 🍁🕯️

Look at our wonderful prosperity spell jars 🍀Spell jars originate from 16th-century European folk magic, where they were first known as “witch bottles” used to protect homes against malevolent magic.
The earliest recorded tradition of bottled magic dates back to at least the 1500s in England, particularly in regions like East Anglia. People did not use these early containers to cast aggressive or manifestation spells. Instead, both ordinary citizens and practitioners used them as defensive amulets to ward off curses, evil spirits, and witches. People typically hid these vessels by burying them beneath the floorboards, inside walls, or upside down under the hearth or fireplace during construction. Instead of decorative herbs and crystals, Historical witch bottles contained sharp or personal items meant to confuse and trap negative energy, such as pins, nails, thorns, hair, and bodily fluids like urine. Long before modern clear glass jars, people used stone, clay jugs or salt-glazed stoneware (often called Bellarmine jugs featuring an engraved bearded face)
As small glass containers became cheaper and more widely available, the practice spread to diverse and diasporic populations globally, merging with traditions like Hoodoo and conjure magic before evolving into the modern world. 🧙‍♀️
