World Reflexology Week 2026 continues 👣
I think one of the most rewarding benefits of almost all of my Reflexology treatments is seeing someone leave my treatment room feeling calmer and less stressed.
Many of us live in a constant state of stress or anxiety, which can have a huge negative effect on not only our lives but our body systems too. Stress can lead to many emotional and physical health issues, including disrupted sleep, impeded digestion, a suppressed immune system, increased blood pressure, headaches and migraines, fertility issues, chest pains, impaired memory and concentration. A significant amount of illness is stress-related, so if we manage our stress levels we can allow our bodies to re-balance and our health and well-being to improve.
👣Reflexology has been shown to relieve and reduce stress and tension in the body.
👣 Reflexology reduces stress by calming the nervous system. Reflexology activates the parasympathetic nervous system, slowing the heart rate, easing muscle tension, and regulating breathing, promoting relaxation and balance.
👣Reflexology can help with the physical symptoms of stress. Stress often hinders digestion by triggering the "fight or flight" response, which diverts energy away from the digestive system. When the body is relaxed, blood flow to the digestive organs increases, improving their function. Relaxation reverses this effect, reducing symptoms like bloating, indigestion, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
👣Reflexology aids sleep can improve your mood, help you recover from stress faster, and support your general well-being.
👣Reflexology can help boost the mood and emotional wellbeing which can help improve overall resilience to stress.
