Beyond the Tissue: Exploring the Biofield, Fascia, and What Words Fail to Capture

We are back with another exciting episode of the Bowen Therapy Professional Association podcast.

Today we are joined by the wonderful Steven Goldstein, founder of the Fascia Therapy Institute in Australia and an extraordinary bodyworker.
Reflecting on his time visiting the UK in autumn 2025—and looking ahead to his return in spring 2027 to teach across Devon, Reading, and Scotland—Steven and I dive into the quiet spaces where hands-on work meets the biofield.

We explore the nature of subtle sensations in the body, why over-explaining or leaning on reductionist viewpoints can limit our understanding of healing, and how to stay present with the things that are genuinely difficult to put into words. It is a wonderfully rich, expansive conversation that looks at the deeper currents of bodywork.

This was a great and interesting interview where we go to go deeper into more philosophical ideas of body energy as it relates to us as manual practitioners.

Business coach and Bowen practitioner talking about how she discovered this wonderful treatment.

What a wonderful daybwe had at the BTPA AGM & PDD woth the amazing leading a fabulous presentation and workshop on ACL prevention and recovery.

As expected it was top quality material, Paula is always do generous with her knowledge and experience and it was so good to go over some classic aspects on Ankle and Pelvic work and discuss how this kinetic chains can effect the Knee stability and function.

Paula is doing such great work helping to reduce injury and recover time in female athletes and footballers that she deserves the highest credit for her work.

There were so many great conversations and so many friends, old and new, who were all there dor their love of Bowen Technique and helping people's health.

Next AGM is Saturday 2nd October 2027, put it in yoir diaries now as if you weren't there, you really DID miss out.

This is the LAST CALL for the BTPA AGM and Personal Development Day happening this Saturday as the Oswestry Memorial Hall in Shropshire, which has been home to the amazing Children's clinics run by legend Erica Moss for many years.

The BTPA need you to attend the AGM (zoom or in person) to ensure that we are serving you as a community. If you are not there, you can't have your say and can't vote on any proposals made. The shaping of the Association is up to you.

PLUS we have the incredible Paula Esson coming to share the ACL, knee injury, recovery and prevention work that is changing outcomes in the world of female football, meaning less recovery time and a faster return to a better quality of play than would generally be expected.
