Save this post, for when you are next planning your week’s movement.

The reason this is ideal for women in perimenopause:

Strength training:
Builds muscle and strength, as well as maintaining our bone density. 2 things we lose during perimenopause that are extremely important to try maintain as much as possible as we age.

Rest days:
So important for recovery. Over training can be count productive. We’ve been taught in the past ‘the more you exercise the better’ however this is not true, especially as we age. Our muscles need time to repair.

Steps:
A daily walk is so beneficial for weight management, during a time in life when a lot of women struggle with weight gain. It’s low impact so you don’t need a day off steps. Is so bloomin easy, accessible and social. Plus it’s so good for anyone struggling with low mood, anxiety and stress… things a lot of us women suffer with during perimenopause. Get outdoors! 🌳

Stretch/mobility:
Most of us spend a lot of time sat down. At work, in our cars, at home…! Stretching and mobility work keeps us flexible and helps prevents injury as we age (got to keep up with our mad kids/grandchildren hey!!) and will benefit our strength sessions too. (See my 5 min stretch routine I recently posted too)

Doing movement we enjoy is super important too. Whether that’s a yoga class, padel game, run or blaze class. Make sure you move for joy as well! Swap 1 of the strength sessions or add in at the weekend.

As you can see, the best movement schedule for us women isn’t ’go hard or go home’. It’s balanced. Strength focused. Daily steps and enjoyment. For our bodies AND minds as we age 🫶🏻

Could this be YOUR story? 🤎

G is proof that you don’t have to put your life on hold to lose weight, feel confident and start feeling like YOU again.

Busy job, motherhood, perimenopause, holidays, meals out… she’s navigated it all and is now 10kg down!

The difference? A realistic plan, consistency and having someone in her corner when life gets tricky.

You don’t need more willpower. You need the right support.

If you’re fed up with starting over and ready to make a change that actually lasts, DM me SUPPORT and let’s chat 🤎

SAVE this 10-minute full-body workout NOW for when you have a spare moment! 💪🏻

For the busy woman who puts everyone else first, struggles to find time for herself and knows she needs to move more.

Especially if you’re entering or navigating perimenopause, regular movement is so important for your physical and mental health. 🤎

And just 10 minutes can make a difference!

All you need is two small weights, or grab a couple of water bottles or tins from the cupboard.

⏱️ Set a timer for 10 minutes and complete as many rounds as you can, at your own pace.

Aim for 3–5 times a week if it works for you.

Because looking after yourself doesn’t have to take hours. Small pockets of movement add up! 🙏🏻

Save this post and refer back for a few easy tweaks that will help you if you are currently struggling with perimenopause 🫶🏻

1- Sleep is soooo important. If you aren’t sleeping, you’ll have low energy, low mood, struggle to exercise, eat the wrong foods and generally feel worse.

Ensure your rooms cool and dark, you have a regularly time you go to bed and wake up, and spend some time winding down before bed so you are relaxed.

2-Take a look at your alcohol and caffeine intake

They will both disturb your sleep. They can both cause anxiety and both negatively effect your mood. Try cutting back and see how you feel, if it improves then you know what to do.

3- Make time for regular exercise.

Regular doesn’t mean hours. Even 10 mins a day. Cardio will help with your mood and energy, strength training will help with maintaining bone and muscle mass as you age! They also help with weight management if you are struggling with body image too 🫶🏻

Choose one to implement first and add the others in when you are ready. You should notice positive improvements this week.

Stay tuned for part 2 showing my free 10min home workout routine for busy women to implement easily!
