This or That??👀🤭
Preventative treatments are generally better for maintaining long-term skin quality, while corrective treatments are better for addressing concerns that already exist. Neither is automatically ‘better’ but I’d prioritise prevention first, correction when needed 🤗
Most of the time…chin filler over jawline filler, because it can improve facial balance and definition without necessarily adding width or heaviness to the lower face. It depends on the client’s anatomy and desired result, of course.
I’d generally lean towards Sculptra for gradual, longer-term collagen stimulation and overall skin quality. Neither is automatically better, and they address different concerns. I attended a conference in London and attended a talk on Threads, the negative results from threads scared me into never wanting to offer this…maybe sometime in the future😅
You all know my opinion on nasal filler🤣
Nasal toxin can be a great option for suitable patients who want to soften bunny lines or reduce the downward pull of the nasal tip caused by muscle activity. It offers a subtle, temporary result without adding volume to the nose.
Nasal filler, on the other hand, can alter the shape and profile of the nose, but it carries a significant risk of vascular occlusion, skin necrosis and, in rare cases, blindness due to the complex blood supply of the nose.
I would always consider whether the desired result can be achieved with a less invasive option before introducing filler into such a high-risk area.
This was a HARD one🤭
For me, it comes down to achieving a natural result while choosing the treatment that best suits the patient’s concerns.
For me, it’s about knowing when less is more and choosing the right treatment for the right reason.
Both have their place in a good skincare routine, but if I had to choose one for long-term skin rejuvenation, I’d lean towards retinol.
Vitamin C is a brilliant antioxidant, but its stability can be an issue. Most street skincare products, are either already oxidised, or they oxidise over time, reducing their effectiveness.
This is a hard one because both treatments have their place, but at the moment, I’d choose microneedlin
