📦💜 A little parcel mountain full of preloved treasures!

At Blissful Beginnings, we use a lovely mixture of new and preloved toys! We’re passionate about making play more sustainable, giving toys a second life and showing that wonderful play experiences don’t always have to mean buying brand new. 🌿♻️

And a little thank you to everyone who adds a voluntary resource donation when booking! 🥹 Those extra pennies help us bring lovely new resources into The Village for everyone to enjoy. This little parcel mountain is a perfect example of your kindness in action! 💜

School is closed today due to the weather and closure of Beach Road.

We have been advised by Dorset Police that this is likely to continue throughout most of the day.

Please accept our apologies, but school will have to close due to insufficient staffing levels, which means it would be unsafe to open the school.

With Christmas creeping up (HOW?! 🎄🤣), is anyone else starting to wonder where on earth all the new toys are going to go?!

💕 OI, PORTLAND! Weymouth, Dorchester and surrounding areas… YOU TOO! 🤣

We all like posts from celebrities, follow big brands and engage with people we have never even met.

This November, The Village is heading Into the Woods in both Weymouth and Portland! 🍂

But there’s a little more to The Village than playtime…

We put lots of love and thought into creating beautiful, inviting play spaces, with carefully chosen toys, themed areas and little things to discover. From cosy corners for our tiniest villagers to plenty to explore for those finding their feet!

Everything is thoughtfully set up, but the play is entirely child-led. No schedules, no pressure, just the freedom to explore at their own pace. 🌿

And the grown-ups? You’re every bit as important! ☕🍪

Think hot cuppas, biscuits, friendly faces and a chance for some proper adult conversation. Come with friends, come hoping to make some, or simply come as you are. 💜

🌲🐻 THE VILLAGE IS COMING TO PORTLAND! 💜

We asked, and we heard you! 🥰

After such a lovely response from Portland families, we’re absolutely delighted to be bringing The Village to the island!

🌿 There’s a little more to The Village than playtime…

We wanted to create somewhere that feels just as lovely for the grown-ups as it does for their little ones.

Think beautiful, thoughtfully arranged play spaces, lovely toys and plenty of little things to discover. From cosy corners for our tiniest villagers to exciting spaces for those finding their feet (and those who haven’t stopped running since! 🤣).

Everything is carefully thought out, but how your little one chooses to play is entirely up to them. No schedules, no structured activities and no pressure. Just the freedom to explore, wander and play wherever they fancy, at their own pace. 🌿

And the grown-ups? You’re every bit as important. 🤎

A hot cuppa you haven’t had to make yourself (and might actually drink while it’s hot!), biscuits, a friendly face and a chance for some proper adult conversation. ☕🍪

Come with friends, come hoping to make some, or simply come as you are. We want everyone to feel welcome, comfortable and part of something.
