Whilst unscrewing a shelf front the wall (painfully, I’ll explain lower down) I thought about when me and Marc were decorating this room and putting the shelves up.

We were decorating in June 2020, I’d left me previous room above a hairdresser’s at the start of the Covid pandemic and I really didn’t know whether my little business was going to survive. I was mid divorce, had met a wonderful man who helped me turn what felt like a ruin into the family home that has supported us for the last 6 years.

How things have changed, not only did my business survive but it’s thriving. With a new clinic in Darwen which has seen some huge changes in the last few months, it was always in the back of my mind that this room is still the heart of the business. And now it’s getting its own makeover so my clients in Fulwood will get to feel as cared for in their treatment room as my Darwen clients do.

I started it today, I need to finish it for tomorrow and possibly have cellulitis in my right index finger… the joys of Lipoedema.., but hopefully I’ll get the antibiotics later this morning and I’ll be fine.

It may be small, but it’s perfect, and it’s the foundation, the roots of JC Holistics.
