Care doesn’t always look like a big gesture - sometimes it’s a meme, a hug, or a late-night “you okay?” message.

We asked 2,000 adults how they show they care, and the answers say a lot about life today:
42% of Gen Z show care by tagging someone in a meme
40% feel tech has helped them show care
71% still put visiting someone in person first
74% of Gen Z would give a hug to show they care – more than any other generation.

As Diversity founder Ashley Banjo MBE says, a hug can be a simple way to show support and that you care.

But we also found 1 in 6 people don’t feel cared for by others.

When worries feel loud, even a small moment of connection can make a difference. So, why not tag someone to show you’re thinking of them, or send a “just checking in” text today?

It’s late, or early. Everyone else is asleep. And sometimes the worries we carry feel a little louder.

Welcome to The 2am Club from AXA Health 🌙

A space for the thoughts and worries that stay with us – from looking after yourself and your family, to the things you find yourself thinking about at night.

When it comes to your health, or the health of the people you care about, what’s been on your mind? Tell us in the comments or send us a DM if you'd prefer to keep things private.

What you share will help us understand what worries you may be carrying and help shape what content we create next - so it's as useful as possible.

Looking for ways to talk to your child about school?

Sometimes, asking a different question can open up a bigger conversation.

Try a few simple questions to find out about their day, what made them smile and anything they found difficult.

You don't need to have a big conversation every day. Sometimes, one little question is enough to get things started. 💙

Back to school and finding a new routine?

The first few weeks can take a little getting used to - for children, and parents and carers.

From bedtime and mornings to homework and after-school activities, give everyone time to settle into the new school routine.

It doesn't have to feel normal straight away - give them (and yourself) a little time. 💙

Back to school can bring a mix of excitement and nerves - for children and parents.

The school uniform is ready. The new shoes are shining. The school bag is packed.

But preparing your child for the new school year (or starting school) isn't just about getting everything ready for the first day.

You might also be wondering:

- Will they settle into their new routine?
- Will they make friends?
- What if they're feeling anxious about going back to school, or starting school for the first time?

You can't take every worry away, but talking to your child about their feelings, listening to what they're looking forward to and reassuring them that it's ok to feel nervous can help make the transition back to school easier.

Because sometimes, knowing someone is there is enough. ❤️
