When there is so much uncertainty in the world, I find it really important to stay grounded. In these moments I’m drawn to the Gayatri mantra. What could be more grounding than listening / meditating to the oldest mantra in the world? So old no one really knows how old. It’s a meditation on the earth, air and heaven, and the energy of the sun, creator of all life.

Happy June Everyone! My favourite month of the year. I try not to take any day in June for granted, making the most of the light and the abundant flora. Walking my dog and breathing on all that prana is my favourite thing to do.
During the month of June we’ll be continuing our exploration of the thoracic area in our yoga practice, taking full advantage of the abundance of prana to cultivate our life-force within. Over the course of these sessions you will see progression in your ability to breathe more deeply but also freeing up this often inflexible area can be liberating for the lower back and the neck area.
We’ll be using breathing techniques in order to find ease in our twists and binds as well as back extensions.
With consistency, not only will you notice your posture improve, but so will your understanding of yourself.
See you in your mat.
N.B. I am Feldenkrais training 19-22nd June. More info to follow.

HARNESS YOUR POWER THROUGH YOUR CENTRE
Tomorrow we will be beginning a series of classes focussing on how to harness your own power through exploration of working from your centre.
When you are connected to your centre you can go through life with more ease. Through these sessions you’ll become aware that this is a much more economical way for you to move which creates less fatigue and stress on the body.
We will be blending the spiritual with the anatomical in class which will make this a beautiful meditation on movement from your centre.
I hope you’ll join me tomorrow

Kerala, Yoga Holiday 2025. Despite the tail end of a cyclone and circling helicopters above our yoga shala for 5 evenings, we still had a great time. Testimony to the wonderful Keralan people and being in the heartland of Yoga and the capital of Ayurveda.
Thank you to each and everyone one of these beautiful yogis who made this trip so heart-warming and memorable 🩷🧡💜
