IMPORTANT UPDATE:

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the booking process, we are launching our new online ticketing platform, Everyone Can Connect...

https://connect.everyonecan.org.uk/

Here is what you need to know about the transition:

The overlap period: We will continue to use the old platform through to the end of October. Session tickets on the old platform have already been added up to the end of October. Tickets for sessions in November and onwards will only be bookable via our new platform.

Booking: Everyone Can Connect allows you to create and save “Gamer Cards”, automatically pre-selecting the correct ticket types for your chosen session and providing the Everyone Can team with the information needed to offer tailored support.

Total control: From viewing upcoming session dates and managing your e-tickets, to cancelling reservations if your plans change, the new platform puts you in full control of your gaming session bookings.

Supporting the cost of the sessions: We've added a small discretionary donation of £4.50 against each ticket, so that those who can afford to contribute towards the cost of the sessions, can do so. For those who can't, the amount can be reduced or removed altogether.

Getting Started:

Before you can use the new platform, you’ll need to create an account. Once logged in, you can add your first ‘Gamer Card’ by clicking ‘My Gamers‘ in the top menu.

If you’re ever stuck, there’s also a link to a helpful guide in the top menu. And if you’re still unsure of anything, simply get in touch!

Thank you for your continued support.

Gaming, baking, drawing AND fundraising… now that’s a combination we can get behind! One of our amazing gamers has been getting seriously creative to raise money for Everyone Can.

🧁 £71 raised selling homemade Kirby cupcakes
✏️ £83 raised from drawing “bad Pokémon”

That’s an incredible £154 raised in total! Although, having seen the drawings, we’d like to formally dispute the use of the word “bad”. Just look at that Cubone!!!

We absolutely love seeing our gamers finding their own creative ways to support Everyone Can. Every pound raised helps us continue using technology and gaming to create opportunities for disabled people to connect, play and belong.

A huge THANK YOU for all the baking, drawing, selling and hard work that went into this. We think Kirby would approve

Why do we celebrate in July?

While the movement started in the US in July 1990 to mark the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the UK has its own rich, activist-led history. The UK passed the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) in 1995, and we have been officially celebrating Disability Pride here since 2014!

Disability Pride Month in the UK celebrates the incredible diversity of our 16 million disabled people. Here is what the pride flag's colours represent:

🔴 RED - Physical disabilities.

🟡 YELLOW - Cognitive, intellectual, and neuro-divergent conditions.

⚪ WHITE - Invisible and undiagnosed disabilities.

🔵 BLUE - Psychiatric and mental health conditions.

🟢 GREEN - Sensory disabilities.

Under the Social Model of Disability (pioneered right here in the UK), people aren't disabled by their impairments, but by a society that fails to build accessibly.

Reading feedback like this is exactly why we do what we do at Everyone Can. For so many disabled children and young people, gaming isn't just a hobby—it’s a gateway to making friends, building confidence, and discovering new skills without any pressure...

"Everyone Can has genuinely been life changing for our son. We booked not knowing if he would enjoy it and it has now given him a new lease of life! He looks forward to it so much; it is without doubt the highlight of his week. It has given him opportunities to talk to other children of different ages and enjoy their company, whilst learning new skills from them without any pressure. He then takes this knowledge back home to us as a family and into school with his teachers and peers. We are SO grateful as a family to the organisation and everyone that runs it!"

This is the true power of inclusive gaming. By creating an environment tailored to individual needs, we aren't just teaching new skills or playing games—we are fostering social connections that impact a child's life far beyond our doors.

21/05/2026

Every single week at our Technology & Gaming Centre, we meet gamers who have been left out of the digital world simply because of how standard hardware is built.

Our fix?

We custom-build and configure accessible controller setups tailored to the unique strengths of every individual. Whether that means utilising the Xbox Adaptive Controller with a network of personalised switches, shifting controls to head movements, or engineering a toggle switch for a single joystick—we map the tech to the gamer, not the other way around.

The work we do breaks down social barriers, allowing disabled people with mixed abilities to enjoy playing together, improving mental wellbeing and confidence.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the intersection of accessibility and well-being. When technology is designed with disabled people in mind, it doesn't just provide "access"—it provides autonomy, connection, and the mental peace that comes with independence.
