A little Practical Magic life. 🌿🍂🌙

Like the Owen’s sisters, life isn’t always easy or without a little heartache. But, there is much joy, love + sisterhood.

Sometimes I feel like there is a curse upon me, but isn’t that often the case when a woman walks in her vision + slows down enough to begin to embody the life that she truly wants.

It takes courage, so I walk with its hand in mine + dance within this witchy little life I have the pleasure of carving out for myself (with my two angels, Marnie + Luna).

Who knows what the future brings …
What I do know, is that life is for living.

In the words of Aunt Franny: “Live a little. Live a lot”. 🪶🌀

In less than a month, we shall pass through the threshold of the Autumn Equinox.

For many of us, this season is our favourite.
Warm, cosy nights spent by the fire.
Cups of hot cocoa, marshmallows + 90s films.
Blankets + magickal books.

But more than that, it’s a reflective moment in the year.
A time to take a breath, to bear witness to the harvest + gather our fruits for Winter.

To descend into ritual, to sink beyond the threshold of the Underworld months.

Witches, it’s time to light our candles once more.

So, in honour of the coming Autumn season, a discount awaits across all final Shy Wolf Candles stock.

Code: AUTUMN.

July moments 🌿🌞

My camera roll told me that I spent most of July in the garden with my Cats.

I replied: “well, what a magickal way to spend July”.

RITUAL SHOP 🌬️
Returns 18 July at 7pm.

Since opening its doors in 2021, this little shop has lived by a couple of names. Now, fully fledged, this space is a small, but intentional branch of ROOT + WEAVE.

Here, you can find a moment of ritual.

For the first time, you can receive gorgeous ceramic incense bowls + dimple mugs. All lovingly handcrafted by Kate Smallwood. 🌀

shy wolf // eco-friendly soy candles are (of course) returning, with a little stock up offer. Buy 2 candles + receive a 3rd half price. Though we are in the depths of Summer, Autumn is not far ahead + thus, it shall be time to light our candles once more. 🕯️

A piece of my heart, etched in ink + cast into the fires.
You can also find fresh copies of my poetry + guided Journey book, ‘Embers Beneath the Stars’. 🪶

Thank you for supporting the Ritual Shop + for keeping this little branch of ROOT + WEAVE blossoming. Without you, this little space would gather dust.

We are forever wild, beautiful souls, forever wild.

🤍

Oh, my heart.

Oh, my sweet tender heart.

Though grief swirls through my veins, so too does infinite gratitude + wild love. ❤️‍🩹

There are so many, many words I could write (+ shall, in time) but the heart that beats within my chest is holding those words close for now.

Tears are filling my eyes as I write this caption.
For two years I have journeyed to Cornwall with the purpose of studying Shamanism.

Little did I know that I would find my soul family there.

Beginning, with only a thread of a dream + a wish to be held, the wisdom of Shamanism whistled through the wind + invited me on a life changing journey.

What I later discovered during my training, was that this path had quietly called during a visit to Vancouver, Canada in 2006 when I was 13. To help me unravel the memory, Spirit had connected me with a guide who had also travelled those lands a few years after me (in fact, we both have a photo standing basically in the same spot).

The lands of Cornwall have held my grief + my joy for over two years. 8 weekends, hours of journeying, dancing, laughing, playing with my inner child, shedding stories, creating new stories, gathering, crafting, being, crying, releasing, holding, drumming, singing + eating lots of yummy foods.

This has been + always shall be, the most heart-opening experience of my journey thus far.

To be seen, truly seen, in all emotions, all weathers, teary-eyed + in my true essence has been profound. But to also have witnessed each + every soul who gathered together to form The Spirit Birds has been a privilege.

I will treasure every moment.

To my Spirit Bird family, including,
of course [email protected], + all the kitty kats, I love you.

Until we meet again, journey well, fly free + forever wild. 🌀🦅
