The right Expert Witness can make a real difference to a case.

In her latest article for Chronicle Law, Yvonne Spijkerman Co-Founder of Circle Case Management and Expert Witness Service Lead, explores what makes Expert evidence genuinely valuable — from choosing the right Expert and providing a clear instruction, to producing evidence that is independent, clinically robust and able to withstand challenge.

A strong Expert Witness report should do more than fill a gap in the evidence. It should help the Court understand the real-world impact of injury, disability and care needs, and provide clear, defensible recommendations around areas such as care, therapy, accommodation, equipment, education, employment, support and future financial provision. At CCCM, we take a hand-selected approach to our Expert Witness panel, matching the right clinician to the right instruction and supporting solicitors throughout the process with responsive communication, quality assurance and clear timescales. If you are looking for an Expert Witness for an upcoming case, or would simply like to discuss which discipline may be most appropriate, our team would be happy to help. Email [email protected] or call 01297 24145

We also offer a FREE 45-minute training session for legal and insurance teams: The Role of an Expert – Difference-Making Evidence, delivered online or in your office. To arrange a session, email [email protected].

🚴 270+ miles. Four days. One incredible cause. A huge congratulations to David Hilton, Joshua Morton and Vindika Jasinghe from CFG, who have now completed the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation Cycle Ride from Salzburg to Vienna. 👏Over four days, the team covered more than 270 miles, taking on a huge physical and mental challenge to raise funds for the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation.

The Foundation supports people affected by serious injury, disability and financial hardship, helping individuals and families rebuild their lives and maintain independence when they need it most.

Circle Case Management was very pleased to support the team with a donation, and their fundraising has already exceeded the original target.

đź’™The ride may be finished, but donations are still very much welcome and can continue to make a real difference to the people supported by the Foundation.

If you would like to add your support, you can donate here:

Is Group Income Protection being underutilised?
Group Income Protection can offer far more than financial security during long-term absence.
In complex cases, early rehabilitation and independent expert evidence can help employers, insurers and legal professionals understand not only if someone can return to work, but how, when and with what support.
From vocational rehabilitation and workplace adaptations to future care needs, employability and loss of earnings, the right expert evidence can provide clarity, support informed decision-making and keep rehabilitation firmly at the centre of the process.
Our multidisciplinary Expert Witness team explores the role expert evidence can play in supporting complex Group Income Protection cases.

A patient being medically fit for discharge doesn’t necessarily mean they are ready to go home.

For patients with complex needs, the transition from hospital to home can be one of the most vulnerable points in their care.

Was the right support actually in place?

Was essential equipment available?

Were medication changes and ongoing nursing needs clearly communicated?

Was the family expected to provide a level of care they were neither trained nor equipped to deliver?

And if the patient deteriorated or was readmitted shortly afterwards, were there warning signs that should have been identified before discharge?

In our latest article, “Hospital to Home: When Discharge Planning Fails, Registered General Nurse and Nurse Expert Witness Aya Pamittan explores the nursing evidence behind these cases and the importance of looking beyond the discharge decision itself.

For solicitors dealing with clinical negligence matters, the records surrounding those crucial hours and days can help establish whether a discharge was genuinely safe, appropriate and sustainable.
