NEW BLOG: Do We Need Fish to Get Enough Omega-3? Considerations for Plant-Based Diets 🐟🌱

Omega-3 is often linked to oily fish, but is fish actually essential to meet your needs on a plant-based diet? 🤔

📊 Long-chain omega-3s (EPA and DHA) are mainly found in oily fish and marine algae, while plant foods provide ALA, a type the body can convert into EPA and DHA, though how much conversion happens varies. Algae-derived oils are also emerging as a bioavailable, sustainable source of DHA and EPA in their own right.

Whether you're advising patients or just want to get up to speed on the evidence, this one's for you. 🙌
