This , we’re recognising the value of lived experience and the difference it can make to mental health support.

Within Wellness, our lived experience workers bring their own experiences and understanding to their roles, helping to build connections, challenge stigma and ensure people feel heard, understood and supported.

As our Professional Lead for Lived Experience explains:

“My role as Professional Lead for Lived Experience is about ensuring that people with lived experience sit at the table as equal partners. Their perspectives challenge assumptions, strengthen our practice and help us build services that truly reflect the people they support.”

This year’s theme, ‘Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change’, is a reminder that lived experience can help shape the support and services people receive.

We’re proud to recognise the contribution of our lived experience workforce and the insight they bring to our work 💙

It’s always great to hear how our Forensic Recovery College is making a difference to those who take part.

The College gives staff and service users the opportunity to learn together, develop new skills and explore topics that can support recovery and wellbeing.

One member of staff shared that the Recovery College gives them “something for service users to look forward to”.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their feedback and help us understand what the Recovery College means to them 💙

Celebrating our teams at the HSJ Patient Safety Awards! 🏆

We were proud to attend the HSJ Patient Safety Awards on the 28th September, where three of our services were recognised as finalists across three categories.

Our Diabetic Eye Screening Service, in partnership with Cinapsis, was shortlisted for both the Digital Clinical Safety Initiative of the Year Award and Safety Improvement Through Technology Award. The partnership introduced an electronic eyecare referral system designed to help improve referral pathways and patient care 👁️

Our Health and Justice Services were also finalists in the Patient Safety Education and Training Award, recognising the development of new training to support professionals working with neurodiverse service users in the criminal justice system 🧠

We're incredibly proud of the teams behind these projects and the work they continue to do to improve patient safety, access to care and outcomes for the people we support.

Congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted and to this year's winners! 👏

High blood pressure often has no obvious symptoms, so feeling well doesn’t necessarily mean your blood pressure is healthy.

The only way to know is to check ❤️
