Last week we opened the doors to our latest Emerging Beyond Mama cohort, and what a beautiful way to begin.

Emerging is a 6-week journey for mums to pause, reconnect with themselves and explore the parts of who they are that can sometimes get lost in motherhood.

From creating a calm, welcoming space... To sitting together reflecting, sharing and simply having permission to be.

This week we gathered for Session 2, continuing those conversations and making space for more connection, reflection and self-discovery.

This cohort is fully funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, meaning every woman taking part has been able to access the programme completely free.

And we're celebrating with a little Christmas magic! 🤍

One whole year of connection, community, friendship and creating spaces where mums can come together, feel supported and enjoy some much-needed time for themselves.

To celebrate our first birthday, we're bringing our Beyond Mama community together for a cosy Christmas celebration, and we'd love you to join us!

Think festive creativity, delicious food, non-alcoholic mulled w**e, Christmas treats, laughter, connection and a few little surprises along the way.

Whether you've joined us for a programme, attended one of our events or are completely new to Beyond Mama, we'd love to celebrate with you.

🎄✨ CALLING LOCAL BUSINESSES ✨🎄

Would you like to become a Beyond Mama Christmas Champion? 🤍

This November, Beyond Mama will be celebrating ONE YEAR of creating spaces where mums can connect, feel supported, reconnect with themselves and have the opportunity to put themselves first for a little while.

To celebrate, we're planning a special Beyond Mama 1st Birthday & Christmas Celebration for our community of mums. 🎂🎄

We're creating a cosy, relaxed evening with Christmas creativity, delicious food, festive treats, non-alcoholic mulled w**e, time to chat and connect and a few little surprises too!

And we'd love to invite some amazing local businesses to be part of making the evening extra special. ✨

We're looking for businesses who might be able to contribute in whatever way feels right for them, for example:

🎁 A small gift or voucher for our raffle
💌 A little gift, sample or treat for our party bags
🍰 Food, drinks or treats for the evening
🎨 An activity or experience for our guests
✨ Or something else you think our mums would love!

We're particularly keen to connect with local businesses that support women, mums and families, or businesses whose products and services align with wellbeing, self-care and community.

It doesn't need to be a big contribution. Small businesses supporting small communities can make a big difference. 🤍

In return, we'll be celebrating and thanking our wonderful Christmas Champions across our social media and at the event, helping our community discover and support the businesses who are supporting us.

✨ PAMPER EVENING THIS FRIDAY ✨

We’re so excited to have Helen from Style & Serenity joining us for our Beyond Mama pamper evening. 🤍

Helen will be guiding us through a gorgeous Tropic skincare facial, giving you the chance to try the products for yourself, learn a little more about your skin and, most importantly, enjoy some proper time out to relax and be pampered.

And there’s an extra treat… ✨ Helen will also be bringing along some of the brand-new Tropic festive collection, so we’ll be amongst the first to have a look, try some of the gorgeous new products and get a little Christmas inspiration. 🎄

Helen has years of experience in hair, beauty and skincare and loves nothing more than helping women feel good about themselves — so you’ll be in very good hands. 💕

A Stalybridge mum’s organisation supporting women through the challenges of motherhood has secured National Lottery funding to deliver four free programmes for mothers across Tameside over the next year.

Beyond Mama CIC, founded by local mum Becci, has been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, allowing it to expand its support and remove the financial barrier for women who may otherwise struggle to access wellbeing support.

My sister has been visiting from New Zealand for the last couple of weeks. And I've seen her quite a bit. But I realised today I hadn't really SEEN her, because every time we'd met up we'd both been in mum mode. Sorting food for the kids, arranging nap times, dealing with tantrums, and most conversations being interrupted for one reason or another.

We'd not really had the chance to just be sisters. Tonight we've been for a spa get away and it's been so special to be able to turn down the outside noise and have time to connect. To hear about what she's been thinking about, what she's excited about, what's been going on in her world.

We both adore being mums and due to the nature of the role it often takes over, but it's nice to be reminded that motherhood is just one aspect of who we are. And tonight I've just been able to be her sister and that's been wonderful 🥰

Rediscover the woman beyond motherhood

Motherhood changes so much, but somewhere along the way, many of us lose sight of who we are.

Emerging Beyond Mama is a six-week wellbeing programme designed to help you reconnect with yourself beyond the role of "mum". Through guided reflection, practical tools, gentle somatic practices and connection with other mothers, you'll have space to pause, reflect and rediscover what matters to you.

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, we are able to offer this cohort free of charge. There are currently 2 fully funded places remaining on our next cohort.

Starts: Wednesday 23rd September 7pm
Duration: 6 weekly sessions
Location: Stalybridge

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or like you've been putting everyone else first, this programme is for you.

Join Beyond Mama for a gentle sunset walk at Werneth Low on Sunday 6th September.

We’ll walk together and enjoy the views as the sun sets, while raising funds to purchase yoga mats for our wellbeing sessions.
