Another little Halloween treat from us in celebration of our 2nd birthday!

🎃 Earlier this week I mentioned that something was brewing at Twisted Eden, so here’s what we’ve been planning!

With our 2nd birthday coming up on 1st November, we wanted to do something a bit different to celebrate and get the local community involved.

So, we’re running our very first PUMPKIN CARVING COMPETITION! 🎃

It’s completely FREE to enter, open to all ages and we’ve got £30 worth of vouchers up for grabs!

🏆 £20 voucher – People’s Choice
You lot get to vote for your favourite!

🏆 £10 voucher – Our Favourite
We’ll pick our winner based on creativity and effort.

HOW TO ENTER:

🎃 Carve your pumpkin! Scary, silly, simple or spectacular, anything goes! (Just keep it clean 👀)

📸 Take a photo of your creation with a handwritten sign saying “Twisted Eden 2026” next to it. Just so we know it’s yours and not something you’ve nicked off Pinterest or had chat GPT make! 😂

💌 Send your photo to us via Facebook Messenger by 8pm Thursday 29th October.

🗳️ VOTING: We’ll upload all the entries to our page the morning of Friday 30th October. The photo with the most reactions by 3pm on Saturday 31st October wins People’s Choice!

🎉 WINNERS: Both winners will be announced on Sunday 1st November, our actual birthday!

You don’t need to buy your pumpkin from us or spend a penny to enter. We just wanted to do something fun for the kids (and grown-ups!) while celebrating two years on Castle Street.

🍂 IT’S OFFICIALLY SOUP SEASON! 🥣

There’s nothing better than a big bowl of homemade soup when the weather starts getting colder! And the best bit? You don’t need loads of fancy ingredients to make something delicious.

Here’s three of our favourites, all made with fresh ingredients you can pick up at Twisted Eden! 🥕🍅🍄

🧡 Roasted Butternut Squash Soup
Roast butternut squash, carrots, onion and garlic with a little smoked paprika and cumin. Blend with vegetable stock until smooth and finish with a splash of cream. Sweet, warming and perfect for autumn!

🍄 Creamy Garlic Mushroom Soup
Fry mushrooms with onion, garlic, butter and thyme until golden. Stir in a little flour, add vegetable stock and simmer. Blend some of the soup, leaving a few chunky mushrooms, then stir through double cream. Rich, creamy and full of flavour!

🍅 Roasted Tomato & Basil Soup
Roast fresh tomatoes, red onion and garlic with olive oil and oregano until beautifully caramelised. Blend with vegetable stock, tomato purée, fresh basil and a splash of balsamic vinegar. So much better than a tin!

All three are simple to make, packed with flavour and perfect with a big chunk of crusty bread (or cheese on toast with the tomato 🤌🏻)
