😁 Our Wall of Smiles is bringing smiles to our waiting room! 🦷💙

A huge thank you to our lovely orthodontic patients who sent in their smile photos to help us create our very own Wall of Smiles! 🥰

Every smile tells a story, and we’re so proud to celebrate the amazing people behind them. From braces journeys to confidence-boosting transformations, it’s wonderful to see so many happy smiles all in one place! ✨

Our waiting room has never looked so smiley! 😁

Huge Congratulations to our newly qualified ORTHODONTIC NURSE Jackie!

Having been a dental nurse for numerous years, Jackie has a wealth of knowledge and has now fully qualified in orthodontic nursing - a huge asset to the department 🦷

You’ll see Jackie on most clinic days and also on your orthodontic education clinics.

Well done!

🌟 A proud KeepStokeSmiling moment! 🌟

We’re incredibly proud that one of our Consultant Orthodontists, Miss Juggins, was recognised at the BDA Honours & Awards in London.

Miss Juggins received a BDA Award for Excellence recognising her work in national oral health initiatives. 🦷❤️

A lovely recognition of the work that started right here in Stoke-on-Trent and continues to grow and reach communities across the UK. 🇬🇧 British Orthodontic Society UHNM NHS Trust 🏥 UHNM Charity Stoke City Foundation British Dental Association

2 years later and Owen’s smile is still amazing!!

Starting with a gap of 10mm between his top and bottom teeth, Owen had upper and lower fixed braces alongside a mandibular advancement to move his lower jaw forwards. He has since been wearing his retainers every night to keep everything in place!

Meet Ethan. He’s been with us on work experience this week. On Monday morning he was undecided… Medicine or Dentistry 🤷🏼‍♀️. By Friday afternoon he’d got his whole career planned out. Orthodontics is his future 🤣 (and yes Ethan, putting modules on does get much easier with practice 🤭) He’s been a pleasure to work with. Keen. Interested. Engaged. Polite. We hope to see his name on a door in our department in 15 years time 👍🏻 UHNM NHS Trust 🏥 British Orthodontic Society Newcastle-under-Lyme School

It was a sad day in clinic today as we said goodbye to our Senior Orthodontic nurse, Fiona. Many of you will know her from orthodontic education clinics, from her assisting clinicians in clinic, from running joint MDT clinics with our maxillofacial surgeons and restorative consultants. Many of our patients probably think of her as their friend, particularly those that have had combined orthodontics and jaw surgery. She’s helped so many people in their hour of need. Kind, caring, compassionate: she embodies everything a nurse in the NHS should be. We will all miss her. But our loss is someone else’s gain, and we wish her well with her new opportunity. Thank you Fi🙏, and good luck ❤️ UHNM NHS Trust 🏥 UHNM Charity
