i wrote a new ditty on nudity
also some ballads to ball ads
while i know they're not pretty
and are tied in with fads
they take care of the rent

i composed a sea shanti
that went on 'bout chianti
cos when i did write it
the ocean had spirit
it was by the red sea, see

that 'ode to Mel' melody
i arranged for its harmony
but a glitch in accounts
paid out tiny amounts
to the tune of a tenor

i thought up some music
for my muse who was sick, yes a tune for Bardot, my sidekick and beau,
unfortunately she died

which just shows it's a jungle
some call it hack work
this world of quick jingle,
but who would dare shirk
from a well paid racket

so get your cans on and listen
