💗 Wear It Pink at Willowbrook View! 💗

What a wonderful day we had on Friday, bringing residents, team members and visitors together to support breast cancer awareness and a cause close to so many of our hearts. 🎀

From our pink balloons and banners to delicious pink treats, a fabulous cake made by our chefs, and a fun pink fashion show on our very own runway, the home was full of colour and community spirit!

We also held a raffle with lots of amazing hampers up for grabs, helping us support this important cause together.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved, dressed in pink and made the day so special! 💕

There’s something rather special about our Poetry & Prose afternoons. 📖

Our residents come together to read poems, share their thoughts and memories, and enjoy the wonderful conversations that follow. We read together before inviting volunteers to read aloud to the group - often sparking stories, laughter and reminiscence along the way.

It’s a lovely opportunity to enjoy the written word, encourage confidence and, most importantly, spend time together.

🎬✨ A trip down memory lane at Swindon Arts Centre! ✨🎬

Earlier today, some of our residents from Willowbrook View enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at Swindon Arts Centre for their monthly cinema showing.

This month’s film was the 1939 classic Sherlock Holmes – The Hound of the Baskervilles. 🕵️‍♂️🎥 An absolute classic!

For many of our residents, watching the film brought back some lovely memories of enjoying it when they were younger. It was fantastic to see them reminiscing, chatting about their memories and simply enjoying the magic of a good old-fashioned film together. ❤️

Our partnership with The Memory Project in Swindon is something we are immensely proud of. The volunteers who give their time to make these experiences possible are truly wonderful and deserve a huge thank you for everything they do. 👏

It’s also lovely to see so many familiar faces from across our local community, and we’re already looking forward to the next event!
