๐ŸŒดโ˜€๏ธ An incredible ยฃ804 raised at Llys Enfys Extra Care Service!๐Ÿ’™

Recently, the team at Llys Enfys Extra Care Service hosted a tropical Summer Fayre, where Radis staff and the people we support enjoyed an afternoon of games, a cake stall, a raffle, a bric-a-brac stall, live music, and some good food! ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ๐Ÿฐ

With thanks to everyone's generous donations, an amazing ยฃ804 was raised and will be split between their chosen charities, Wales Air Ambulance Charity, St David's Hospice, Make-A-Wish UK, Velindre Cancer Centre Fundraising and St Davidโ€™s Nurses Wales.

A huge well done to everyone who helped make the day such a success. ๐Ÿฆฉ๐Ÿ

๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿฅ• Over the summer, the people we support in Oxfordshire have been getting stuck into gardening as part of their Residentsโ€™ Allotment Club๐Ÿ’š

When the club began in June, there were already flowers, beetroot, spinach, herbs and sunflowers growing, and since then, the people we support have been busy growing even more vegetables which have since been harvested and used to cook a delicious seasonal soup ๐Ÿง…๐Ÿฒ

The allotment has been a lovely opportunity for residents to get outdoors, spend time together, make friends, and decide what they would like to grow next. For those who have limited mobility and arenโ€™t able to walk to the allotment, wheelchair trips have meant they can still enjoy being outside, see how everything is growing and be part of the gardening๐ŸŒป

With the first harvest complete, the group have already been busy planning for the next season and are now growing chard, carrots and a selection of winter vegetables, including pumpkins in readiness for Halloween๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŽƒ

We're excited to see what they grow next! ๐Ÿ‚

๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ’ Barbara recently reached the incredible milestone of 100 years old, and Plaxton Court Extra Care Service marked the occasion with a very special afternoon surrounded by family, friends, Radis staff, and some special guests. ๐Ÿ’™

The afternoon was filled with music, flowers and plenty of birthday celebrations, including a beautiful card and flowers, a wonderful ukulele performance from the Humblebees, and a special letter from King Charles and Queen Camilla to mark her 100th birthday. The letter was presented to Barbara by Mrs Venettia Wrigley, Deputy Lord-Lieutenant for North Yorkshire. ๐Ÿ’Œ๐Ÿ‘‘

Happy 100th birthday, Barbara!๐Ÿฅณ

โ˜•๐Ÿ’™ The people we support at Barons Place & Bowman Court Supported Living Services recently came together for a special coffee morning in support of Alzheimer's Society.

The people we support, families, and Radis staff all joined in for a morning of fun fundraising activities including a tombola, raffle, guess the name of the teddy and guess how many sweets are in the jar, all while enjoying their homemade cakes and tea & coffee. ๐Ÿฐ

The coffee morning was a wonderful opportunity for those we support to spend time with one another, and a fantastic ยฃ300 was raised! A big well done to everyone involved! ๐ŸŽ‰

As part of their ongoing support for the Lingen Davies Cancer Support Sunflower Appeal, the team and residents at Stirchley House Extra Care Service held a "Soak the Sunflower Man" fundraiser and it certainly made a splash! ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŒป

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, an additional ยฃ86 was raised for this fantastic cause. A special thank you goes to Norman, who volunteered to become the "Sunflower Man" for the day and took on the challenge with great enthusiasm! ๐Ÿ’ฆ

The funds raised will contribute towards the Sunflower Appeal, a ยฃ5million campaign by Lingen Davies Cancer Support to help create a new chemotherapy centre at Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, improving access to cancer treatment across the region.

Well done to everyone involved for another brilliant fundraising effort in support of such an important cause. ๐Ÿ’›
