Sooooo I’ve been meaning to do a ‘get to know your artist’ post for ages and then I stumbled on these old pics and had an idea... Many of you will have heard me talk about the other things I’ve done so I’ve decided to do a series of posts that show you different stages of my existence in this physical realm.

This one is highlights of my time as editor of a mobile gaming website during which time I got to do some VERY cool s**t. You’ve likely heard my tales of the strange Finnish donut and the best bread IN THE WORLD (they’re not all about bakery products I promise 😅) and here’s the photos to illustrate them!

The lovely folks at are putting me up (or putting up with me) for a few days in November - I'll be bringing a LOAD of flash with me but am also open to custom work if booked in advance.

I'll be there Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st November, Saturday morning has already been booked but there's plenty of space for more and I'll be available for walk-ins the rest of the time.

Keeping myself sane by experimenting on some fake skin - today's challenge: trying to recreate a charcoal sketch with ink! I'm actually quite happy with how it turned out, though I had to do it a fair bit smaller than I wanted which made some of the finer details trés difficile.

I've posted up a series of images from finished back to the first pass because I think this is a really good illustration of what your artist means when they tell you that you'll have to trust the process, and keeps telling you that "it won't look like this when it's finished!" Every time you inspect it during your session 😅

I'm looking for some real bodies to try out more stuff like this - highly discounted bc I'll probably spend even more time than usual fannying around - check out my wannados highlight to see the designs up for grabs!

AVAILABLE CONCEPT

I'd looooooove to do this as a massive back piece but it could also work on a stomach or a thigh - nowhere smaller though! The quote is a line from Martin Luther King
"I HAVE DECIDED TO STICK WITH LOVE. HATE IS TOO GREAT A BURDEN TO BEAR" which has been translated into Cymraeg (Welsh, my mother tongue) as I think it sounds and looks even more beautiful rendered that way. Small tweaks can be made to the design to suit the individual but no major edits or redraws will be possible.

It something a bit different that I'm exploring so I'll offer day sessions discounted by 30% to get it done - how many it takes will depends a little on the placement and so on but we can discuss that in advance.

I've been drawing a lot of very different tattoo ideas recently that I'll be posting up this week and all will be offered at a discount as they make use of styles and techniques I haven't done a lot of and therefore might take a bit longer than usual.

*Black and grey illustrative realism tattoo of a swimming turtle*

Got thrown a curve ball the other day when I expected to be tattooing a lotus and ended up doing a turtle! Actually really enjoying doing a bit of this lately - I'm calling it 'illustrative realism' because it's not like, PROPER realism but it is kind of realistic? Idk. It's fun anyway. Made with grey wash so it'll get lighter as it heals, I'll post another pic when I can!
