First Backyard Ultra complete! 🚀

12 hours, 50 miles (80km) in the legs!

How would I describe it?

The hardest thing I have ever done physically and mentally in my life!

Starting at 9pm and running the same 6.7km loop every hour throughout the whole night is definitely an interesting experience 😂

As crazy as this is going to sound, I absolutely loved it!

Also, a big shoutout to Harry Gripper | Coach & Barefoot Ultrarunner 🦶 for all the coaching throughout the prep and the support on the day. Couldn’t have done it without you, man!

6.7km every hour, on the hour, for 5 hours.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t too bad. It got a little bit boring towards the end 😂 and the body is definitely feeling it today, but I’m happy with it.

One more big long run to do, one more simulation this weekend coming, then we recover, deload, and go into the backyard.

The city, the history, the culture, everything about it is amazing.
