July's full moon, is also known as Salmon Moon, Blueberry Moon, Mead Moon, Hay Moon and many other names according to Old Farmer's Almanec (https://www.farmersalmanac.com/julys-full-buck-moon-17525), but whatever you call it, it is also this year's very first supermoon, the first of four.
What is a supermoon?
According to wikipedia, "A supermoon is a full moon or a new moon that nearly coincides with perigee—the closest that the Moon comes to the Earth in its elliptic orbit—resulting in a slightly larger-than-usual apparent size of the lunar disk as viewed from Earth."
This is a time for reflection whether through meditation or just taking time out from socializing or social media. And because the moon will come in through the earth sign of Capricorn, grounding yourself by reconnecting with nature, hiking, digging in your plants or garden, and even hugging trees are all wonderful ideas. If you can't get outside (or don't want to), unplugging for a few minutes and meditating in whatever way you find comfortable to give yourself a chance to exhale and purge what is necessary so that you may forge ahead into the second half of the year.
The full moon rises on July 3, 2023, at 7:39 a.m. ET, and will appear full for three days.
