Riding lessons is 5% of pony management
The rest is the important bits to learn to keep your best friend healthy happy and performing 🎭 🐴

Where is your lessons taking you? To own or loan in an ideal world. 🌍 Riding school ponies can only take you so far and to understand the sport it takes dedication and lifestyle changes ✨

To have the knowledge skills and experience needed to succeed - the yard and pony management is the most important part!!!
Before you spend years in lessons wasting money be aware of what you’re getting yourself into.

Pony club routines will teach your kids the right way of doing things early on. Then they can weigh up if it’s the sport for them.

I find for a sport to serve it’s purpose of improving well being your kids need to feel they are achieving, doing well, improving and learning and to do this they need access with a team to support them and the appropriate skills pony and system.

Which is what we want and work towards happy, kids ponies and all the good that comes with being around ponies !!!!!

Join our pony club centre and start learning the overall processes of being horsey & successful doing it.

🤠With numbers, weather restrictions & training plans the club split was implemented to ensure everyone gets what they need from club.

✅Our first group up is our Peninsula Stable Minds group for non owners and loaners.
The divide ensures the groups are kept small and learning outcome is maximised.

Well done everyone 💕
Looking forward to getting you all up and running.

Pony club members made a start on their 'Pet Sense' badge a couple of weeks ago. This entails keeping a daily diary of how they after one of their pets, for 3 months. Focus is on animal welfare, and how they contribute to the health and welfare of their pets.
In the meantime they will be working towards badges which teach them about looking after their ponies in the winter.

At Pony Club this morning we did some training towards the Care of the Horse's Foot' badge - both the Achievement badge and the Mini badge. I will be assessing the badge next week😊
In the riding lessons we worked on steering, canter transitions, and jumping. All of our riding lessons are structured to help the riders work towards Pony Club tests.
Good work from everyone - each rider working to improve at their own rate and their own level so that we keep confidence and enjoyment to the forefront 🐎.
