Feeling tense, uncomfortable, or overwhelmed?
Take a moment to slow your breathing 🍰🎶
Most people take 12-18 breaths a minute. Taking slower, deeper breaths can help your body relax and may even reduce feelings of discomfort.
Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds
Breathe out slowly through your mouth for 6 seconds
Repeat for a few minutes
Sometimes the simplest things make the biggest difference.

Breathing technique inspired by Stuart Sandeman, founder of Breathpod.

If you haven't had a chance to listen yet, Debbie has shared this brilliant BBC piece with us.

It explores the power of singing and the role it can play in supporting wellbeing, connection and community, which are all subjects close to our hearts at Playing for Cake.

Pour a cuppa and have a listen. 🍰 🎶

Did you know the longest continuous choir performance ever recorded lasted 125 hours?

That's more than five days of non-stop singing.

To celebrate its 125th anniversary, the Berlin Choral Association brought together around 200 choirs, who took turns singing in 30-minute slots from Monday right through to Saturday.

The whole thing was officially recognised as a world record.

So next time someone tells you to keep it down, you can mention that 200 choirs once sang for five days straight and got a certificate for it!
