I remember being pulled between excitement, joy and power… and then floored with guilt, grief and anger the next minute whilst we were working towards our redemptive home birth.

My goodness it can feel so overwhelming when you’re planning a home birth sometimes…

So many opinions. So many stories. So many side eye looks 👀

Always bring yourself back to your WHY.

Here are some centring journalling prompts for you:

🌀 What is the reason for me wanting to birth in this way?

🌀 “Because…” (go deeper… what underneath that first response?)

🌀 Which means that…

This is your deeper WHY. This is the thing you bring yourself back to when you inevitably have doubts, or a disempowering antenatal appointment, or conversation with loved ones.

And remember, amongst all the ‘what if’s’ of things going wrong… there’s a perfectly likely ‘what if’ everything goes ‘right’… ❤️‍🔥

I get it… I’ve been there and I’ve had the honour of supporting so many women through that point in pregnancy & birth where they are just DONE.
