💫✨🫶 Long Post Alert …My Update✨💫
I’ve been super quiet on here over the past few years so I’ll start by saying hiiii 👋🏻 to my Hedonistic Health friends! I was completely lost for a while, and I didn’t really know how to show up here. But the past couple of years of reflection and rebuilding have been super transformative, and I finally feel ready to share a little of what’s going on for me🤍
About four years ago, my life changed completely. My marriage ended—and with it, the version of me I had known for most of my adult life.
Divorce is excruciating in itself. But what I didn’t expect was how lost and alone I would feel afterwards.
I didn’t know who I was if I wasn’t someone’s wife. I didn’t know what to do with my new found time if I wasn’t constantly in the role of “mum.” I didn’t know where I fit socially in a world that seems to expect people to stay together—or quietly disappear if they don’t.
It felt like everyone else’s lives carried on as normal… while mine had fallen apart.
And one of the most painful, unexpected parts? The exclusion.
Not being invited in the same way as before. Sometimes not at all. No longer being part of a “couple.” It felt like I’d been gently edged out of the social spaces and friendships I once belonged to—simply because no one quite knew where to place me anymore.
People assumed I was fine. That I’d figure it out… after all, it was “my choice.”
But I wasn’t fine. I was shell-shocked, trying to piece together who I was now. It was such a strange in-between space to exist in—no longer who I had been, but not yet who I was becoming.
Looking back now, standing firmly on my own two feet again, I can see that time for what it really was. Not just an ending—but a beginning.
A chance to rediscover myself. To become someone I consciously chose to be.
Not defined by a relationship.
Not defined by a role.
Not defined by who I used to be for everyone else.
And eventually—after a lot of ups and downs—I found my place. I found my people.
Which brings me to now, and the reason I’m sharing this.
I want to create something I know I would have needed during that time.
Spaces for people in this in-between chapter of life. Men and women who once had full social calendars—dinner parties, plans, invitations, nights away, friends to do ‘family’ things with —but now find those things have quietly faded after a relationship ends.
Because what makes that journey easier… is being around the right people.
People who get it.
People who don’t need an explanation.
People who are finding their way too.
People you can sit with, laugh with, connect with… and just feel like you belong again.
So that’s what I want to create.
Small, beautiful, relaxed dinners and experiences for people in this chapter of life—
Where you’re not the extra person.
Not the afterthought.
Not the one trying to fit into someone else’s world.
Where you are no longer the third wheel, but the guest of honour. Where you are the point.
Where you can show up exactly as you are… and slowly start to feel like yourself again.
And maybe even discover a version of you you haven’t met yet.
Sharing this feels super scary and vulnerable… but f*ck it, you gotta start somewhere!!
So… if this speaks to you —if you’ve felt lost, or a bit forgotten, or unsure where you belong and you want people and friends to do fun stuff with—I’d really love to hear from you 🤍 I’m working on the first event (s small drinks and dinner party) for May and I have a feeling it will be really special x
