A new home for our Supported Living team! 🩵

We’ve recently opened a dedicated office for our Supported Living Service Managers and Team Leaders, creating a more central base closer to the services they support and our Community Enterprise.

It means less travelling, more opportunities for our teams to work together and a space that’s really theirs!

Even better, being so close to Community Enterprise means the people we support can now pop in to say hello on their way to and from activities too! 👋🏼

The Millennium Hub is taking shape! 💛

Our work with dain continues, and we’ve now moved into the design and build phase for some of the Hub’s key modules.

One area currently taking shape is our quality, risk and assurance system, being developed using dain’s network and shaped around what Millennium actually needs.

Ultimately, the Hub is there to make things easier for our teams.

Bringing our systems together means less time navigating different processes and more time focused on the people we support.

There’s plenty more to come, and we’ll keep sharing the journey as the Hub develops 🤝🏼

This World Mental Health Day, those words carry an important message.

Listening to people with lived experience shouldn't stop at simply hearing their stories. Their experiences, perspectives and voices should help shape the support they receive and the decisions that affect their lives.

For us, that feels particularly relevant.

Person-centred support starts with the person - understanding what matters to them, listening to their experiences and ensuring they have a meaningful voice in how they live their life and receive support.

Because real change starts by making sure the people at the heart of support are part of the conversation ⭐️

That’s one of the results from our latest Culture Check - our annual opportunity to hear directly from our people about their experience of working at Millennium.

A day of meeting the Millennium tribe 🩷

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the recruitment event at Chesney's Centre in Featherstone!

It was brilliant to meet so many people interested in joining Millennium, hear about their experiences and share more about what it’s really like to be part of our tribe.

Sophie and Nick were joined by some of our Service Managers, giving everyone the chance to have honest conversations about the roles we have available, life at Millennium and the difference our teams make every day.

We also loved seeing our new Millennium branding out in the wild - and, of course, sharing a few bits of our new merch ☀️

Growing your career with Millennium 💛

At Millennium, we’re proud to support our people to learn, develop and build careers that go beyond the frontline.

Recently, two members of our HR team have reached some brilliant milestones.

Sian has completed her Level 5 CIPD qualification through an apprenticeship at Millennium, while Andy independently funded and completed his Level 3 qualification 🎓

Their journeys are a great example of how apprenticeships can help you develop your skills while gaining valuable experience in your role, and they’re not just for careers in health and social care.

From HR and recruitment to the many different teams that keep Millennium going, there are opportunities to learn, grow and build a career across the organisation.

A garden ready to grow again 🌱💛

For the past 18 months, the community enterprise garden at The Arch has been out of use after concerns were raised about the safety and stability of the boundary wall.

After 15 weeks of work, we're delighted to see the space taking shape again.

The project involved strengthening the existing structure, building a new retaining wall and adding timber cladding to create a safer, more secure finish.

Most importantly, the work means the garden, external bathroom and potting shed can once again be enjoyed by the community enterprise team.

A huge amount of work has gone into bringing this space back to life - and we can't wait to see what grows here next 🌿👏🏼

There are still a lot of misconceptions around supported living 💛

One of the biggest? That people are constantly being “watched over” or have “no control over their lives”.

At Millennium, we can assure you that the reality is very different.

Support is there when it’s needed, but the focus is always on independence, choice, and giving people the confidence to live their own lives, in their own way.

Because supported living isn’t about restriction, it’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, and being part of the wider community 🙌🏼
