Yoga With Alice D Inclusive, dynamic and relaxing yoga embracing the strength of being a woman at every life stage Welcome to the Yoga With Alice D. Are you scared of yoga?

Do you feel you won’t be able to do it ‘properly’ or all the other ladies will be younger and more flexible and you will feel out of place? My classes are VERY DIFFERENT from ‘drop in’ gym classes. I absolutely do not care what age you are; what shape you might be; how fit you are; or if you have any yoga experience. My women’s classes focus on sensation over form - how does each pose feel? We are all blessed with our own unique bodies and so everyone’s individual practice will be beautifully different - it is about your own self-care journey. YogaBellies® sessions incorporate a range of yogic and holistic techniques which create a unique experience for our clients. Our sessions incorporate traditional yoga asanas (postures), self-hypnosis and deep relaxation. YogaBellies® classes are entirely unique and our class formula means that 86% of our class attendees have never set foot in a yoga class before. We make sure our classes are non-scary, non-threatening, welcoming and open to all levels of practitioner. We believe that yoga is accessible to everyone. I am delighted to offer:
YogaBellies for Pregnancy
YogaBellies for Fertility
YogaBellies for Mum & Baby
Nurture by YogaBellies (Baby Massage)
YogaBellies for Women
YogaPause (Yoga for 35+ Women)

A full moon, a half-term pause 🌕
There may be no classes this week, but I’m still looking up.
Today, Monday 26th October, brings the Hunter’s Moon. Traditionally linked with preparing for the colder months, it feels like a lovely moment to ask: what will nourish and support me as we move towards winter?
In astrology, this full moon falls in Ta**us, with themes of grounding, comfort and reconnecting with the simple things. For me, that might mean fresh air, a warm meal, feeling my feet on the ground or a little space to breathe.
The moon offers inspiration for so much of what we explore together. In our women’s Luna classes, the full moon can inspire a slightly stronger, more expansive practice — always with room to soften, depending on how you arrive.
And in pregnancy, there are all those familiar stories about babies arriving under a full moon. Folklore rather than a reliable prediction, but another reminder of how often the moon comes into our conversations about cycles and change.
This week also brings the very practical rhythms of half-term. Children at home, different routines, childcare arrangements and perhaps a little less space for yourself. For some, it’s a welcome pause. For others, there’s more to hold.
Whatever your week looks like, your needs still matter. Your practice might be a walk, a stretch between activities, or simply noticing your breath while the kettle boils.
🌙 No classes from Monday 26th to Friday 30th October.
We return on Monday 2nd November.
Until then, a little reminder: you can make room for yourself in small ways, too.

A little breathing practice to take with you beyond the yoga mat 🤍
Golden thread breath is one of the practices we explore in pregnancy yoga. A simple moment to soften, pause and come back to yourself.
Breathe gently in through your nose, then release a slow, soft breath through slightly parted lips — imagining a fine golden thread flowing out with your exhale.
If there were a candle in front of you, your breath would gently flicker the flame, rather than blow it out.
There’s no need to push the breath out or keep going until you’re out of air. Let your next inhale arrive when you need it, adapting the breath to whatever feels comfortable for you.
It’s a practice you can return to during a stressful moment, as a calming focus during contractions, or for a quiet pause after baby arrives — whether you’ve had a vaginal or caesarean birth.
You don’t have to wait until you feel overwhelmed to take a moment for yourself. Sometimes a few gentle breaths are a lovely place to begin.

Halloween brought a little extra magic to our classes this week 🎃🧡 From tiny pumpkins and sweet costumes to plenty of movement, laughter and connection, every session felt wonderfully warm and welcoming.
Thank you to everyone who joined me across women’s yoga, pregnancy yoga, Mum & Baby, Movers and Nurture Baby Massage. It’s been so lovely seeing our community come together, share the fun and make each class their own.
This reel is just a little glimpse of what we’ve been doing. Only a few of the babies feature here — a tiny hint of all the gorgeousness we’ve had in class this week!
Alongside the fun, we’ve still had those moments to slow down, breathe, move and make some space for ourselves. I’ve loved sharing it all with you.
A reminder that there’s no pregnancy yoga tomorrow, Thursday 22 October, and no classes next week for half-term. Classes return on Monday 2 November, and I look forward to seeing you as we move towards Christmas.
Thank you for a lovely week, little pumpkins and all. 🎃

Strong can be soft, too. 🌙✨
A little glimpse of our women’s third eye chakra practice — speeded up here, but in class we take our time. Time to feel the strength in a hold, soften into a stretch and notice what we need.
As the evenings grow darker, there’s something lovely about moving in a softly lit room, leaving the busyness outside for a while and making room for new energy.
The third eye chakra is traditionally associated with intuition and inner vision. Our theme, “Acknowledge your fears”, invites us to notice what’s there with kindness, listen within and explore what it feels like to trust ourselves.
You can choose strength, softness or a little of both. Arrive as you are. 💙

Free online yoga tomorrow — come and practise with me 💛
Tomorrow, Tuesday 20th October, I’m sharing three FREE online taster classes, bringing a little Yoga With Alice D into your home.
🤍 Mum & Baby Yoga
10:45–11:15am
🤍 Pregnancy Yoga
11:30am–12:15pm
🤍 Women’s Yoga
12:30–1:30pm
These practices follow the same themes as our in-person classes. If you’re joining me in class this week, they’re a lovely way to revisit the movements and give yourself another moment to breathe.
They work equally well as standalone classes, whether you’ve practised with me before or are joining for the first time. You don’t need to attend in person to enjoy the online sessions.
Make a little space, bring your mat and arrive as you are. For Mum & Baby, feeding, settling and stopping for a cuddle are all part of it. ✨
Can’t make the live time? Tomorrow’s recordings will also be free, so you can practise when it suits you.
🔗 Find the joining links and full details through the newsletter and linked in my story: http://eepurl.com/-Er3Rm67QA
We’ll then pause for half term, with no classes from 26th–30th October. Online classes will return in November with a fee — more details to follow.
For tomorrow, it’s a chance to try a class, see how practising from home feels and enjoy a little time for yourself. I’d love to see you there.

Day 10: 100 salutations — the finale! 💛
Nine days of ten salutations, followed by today’s final 100… that’s 190 salutations complete! ✨
My yoga take on Sport in Mind’s 100K Your Way challenge has been a lovely way to celebrate 10 years of Yoga with Alice D — bringing together movement, community and a cause close to my heart.
From CorePlay and moon salutations to pregnancy, postnatal and Tots Yoga, these ten days have shared a little of the many ways we move together. Different stages of life, different energy levels, and always space to make the practice your own. 🤍
This reel is speeded up, capturing those final 100 salutations in a much shorter glimpse!
✨ Watch the full finale on YouTube: https://youtu.be/8-gQ6O1dMcg
If you join any of the practices, choose the movements and number of repetitions that suit you. Pause, adapt and rest whenever you need. I’m your guide — listen to your body rather than trying to mirror mine.
I’ve been raising funds for Sport in Mind, the charity I work with on Fridays, delivering free Mum & Baby Yoga classes to support maternal mental health.
Having somewhere to come as you are, move, talk and feel supported can mean so much when you’re navigating motherhood. That’s why this work matters to me.
Thank you to everyone who has practised along, donated, shared a reel or sent a kind message. I’ve appreciated every bit of encouragement.
And although the salutations are complete, you can still support the fundraiser if you’d like to. 💛

Strength. Movement. Balance. Rest. And the freedom to choose what you need. 💙
This World Menopause Day, a reminder that your yoga practice can change with you, through every stage of life.
Our women’s classes welcome women approaching menopause, moving through it and beyond — alongside women at other stages of their lives. You don’t need a particular label, experience or level of flexibility to belong.
Some days you might want to explore your strength, hold a pose or challenge your balance. Other days, you might choose gentler movement, extra support or a longer rest.
There is room for all of that here.
With options throughout the practice, you’re encouraged to notice how you feel and choose what works for you today. You don’t have to keep practising the way you always have.
A space to move, breathe, connect and arrive as you are. ✨
Join us on Monday evenings at Halton Village Hall or Wednesday lunchtimes at Wendover Memorial Hall.

Day 9: 10 Tots Yoga salutations 💛
Today I’m continuing my yoga take on Sport in Mind’s 100K Your Way challenge with something a little more playful — our Tots Yoga salutation!
Whilst I’m not teaching Tots Yoga at the moment, this is a lovely one to revisit if you’ve enjoyed those classes with me before, or try together if you fancy a little yoga fun with your child. 🤍
Make space, have a giggle and enjoy moving together. There’s no need for perfect poses or for your child to follow every movement — let them join in, watch, wander and come back in their own way.
This reel is speeded up, so it gives you a glimpse of the sequence. The full practice gives you space to follow and enjoy it together at your own pace.
✨ Join me for the full Day 9 practice on YouTube: https://youtu.be/lQ8S_145V6s
Adapt the movements and take breaks whenever you need. I’m your guide — make the practice your own, with plenty of room for imagination and silliness!
I’m doing this challenge to celebrate 10 years of Yoga with Alice D and raise funds for Sport in Mind, the charity I work with on Fridays, delivering free Mum & Baby Yoga classes to support maternal mental health.
My plan: 10 salutations each day for nine days, followed by 100 on the final day — 190 altogether!
I’d love you to join a practice, share the challenge, or sponsor me if you can. Every bit of support is appreciated.

Day nine, a little playful movement — and another ten complete. That’s 90 down, with the final 100 still to come!

Day 8: 10 pregnancy alignment salutations 💛
Today I’m continuing my yoga take on Sport in Mind’s 100K Your Way challenge with our pregnancy alignment salutation — another option we explore in pregnancy classes.
Yesterday’s sequence explored hip-opening. Today we keep the movements more contained, with knees beneath the pelvis and ankles beneath the knees in our standing positions.
This may feel more comfortable if wider movements aggravate your pelvis, including for some women experiencing pelvic girdle pain (PGP). Every body is different, so comfort and any individual advice from your pelvic health physiotherapist guide your choices. 🤍
There’s still space to explore strength, movement and breath, choosing a range that feels right for you today.
This reel is speeded up, so it gives you a glimpse of the sequence. The full practice gives you space to follow at your own pace.
✨ Join me for the full Day 8 practice on YouTube: https://youtu.be/ittN3j3BN-U
Adapt the movements and rest whenever you need. I’m your guide — listen to your body rather than trying to mirror mine. If a movement hurts, pause and choose a comfortable alternative.

Day 7: 10 hip-opening pregnancy salutations 💛
Today I’m continuing my yoga take on Sport in Mind’s 100K Your Way challenge with our hip-opening pregnancy salutation — one of the options we explore in pregnancy classes.
An opportunity to develop strength and stamina, explore movement through the hips and make time to connect with your changing body. 🤍
This version includes wider movements, so it’s an option for when those feel comfortable. Hip-opening is about exploring your own comfortable range, without forcing a stretch or pushing through discomfort.
Tomorrow I’ll share our alignment salutation, an alternative for those who find wider movements uncomfortable around the pelvis.
This reel is speeded up, so it gives you a glimpse of the sequence. The full practice gives you space to follow at your own pace.
