Fatigue is one of the most common symptoms I see in clinic, and one of the most oversimplified.
You tell people you’re fine. A bit busy, maybe knackered, but fine.
And it’s often approached as though the problem is simply ‘not enough energy’.
Think of your mitochondria as the batteries in your cells. They matter enormously. But energy is affected by far more than mitochondria alone.
Immune activity, thyroid function, stress physiology, the brain, gut, hormones, blood sugar, sleep and recovery can all influence how someone feels. Because fatigue can look similar on the surface while having very different drivers underneath.
That’s why I developed The MitoImmune Method. It’s the framework I use to take a whole body approach, rather than looking at a collection of unrelated symptoms.
I know this one personally. After work stress and burnout, I experienced chronic fatigue myself, and it became a trigger for autoimmunity. Functional medicine and nutrition supported me back to health.
Here is the good news: the aim is simply to find the pattern that matters for you.
Save this framework if you want to understand fatigue from a root cause perspective.
