I’m on maternity leave 🤍 thank you to everyone this year who has booked in, kept me busy and been patient whilst I’ve juggled working during this pregnancy 🤣 I’d be lying if I said it’s been easy!

This came up on my news feed today and it stopped me for a moment… October 2019- I had just landed a tattoo apprenticeship! I worked like an absolute beast, I had a part time job so on days I weren’t working I was tattooing. It wasn’t the best apprenticeship in the world but it was something! 6 months later, Covid hit and I had to stop tattooing. I had been so disheartened, I vowed to never pick up a tattoo machine again! Fast forward to 2022, I left a very toxic relationship and told myself I would do something for me! I opened a tattoo studio in September 2022, no money, no clients, no clue if it would work 🤣 now in October 2026, I can proudly say I still have a tattoo studio, I have been to quite a few conventions, met some incredible artists, tattooed some amazing people, been globally published and won an award for black and grey 🥲 I’m still not where I want to be but I think October 2019 me would be pretty damn proud 🤘🏻🖤

Let’s talk 👀 when I first started tattooing years ago, I was adamant I would be a black and grey artist. Nothing more! After a disappointing apprenticeship, I’d grown to hate any colour and I’ll be honest, I found it intimidating. Last year I took the plunge and started exploring colour, I thought maybe if I expanded my skills it would help me progress as an artist. I’ve been to many conventions now and worked alongside some incredible artists but there was one style that stuck out for me. Surrealism… I’ve been sat experimenting with designs and I’ve tried convincing people to give me some skin 🤣 today I took the first leap into it. My first attempt at something like this. We don’t do things by half, this will be a full leg sleeve in this style so I’ve got plenty of time to perfect it. Thank you Jessy Summersgill for trusting me as always! I am going on maternity leave soon but I intend on using some time to create some concepts in this style. If anyone is interested in getting something like this please drop me a message. I’m going to try and get a waiting list so this type of work gets priority when I’m back 🤘🏻
