Please be aware that the Met Office have now issued a Red Warning for Extreme Heat in Cambridgeshire which is valid from 9am on Wednesday until 21:00hrs on Thursday 25th June.

The UK Health Security Agency have also issued a RED Heat Health Alert which is valid from 1AM on Wednesday 24/06/2026 until 11PM on Thursday 25/06/2026.

Please be aware that a Yellow Heat Health Alert has been issued by UKHSA which is currently valid from 3pm on Wednesday 17/06/2026 until 8pm on Monday 22/06/2026.

Minor impacts are likely across health and social care services, including:

increased use of healthcare services by vulnerable people
greater risk to life of vulnerable people
increased potential for indoor environments to become very warm
water-related incidents may increase, including risks from cold-water shock and drowning.
