Yesterday was World Menopause Day AND my business’s third birthday… and I was so tired I forgot both! 🤦‍♀️😂

No carefully planned anniversary post. Just me, turning up a day late!

I started this business because my own experiences of menopause and neurodivergence made me want to help others feel understood, supported and less alone. Those experiences still shape the way I work today.

Three years on, I’ve met some wonderful people, had conversations that have stayed with me and watched clients grow in confidence, back themselves and take steps they didn’t think they could.

My business has grown and changed too. More of my work now brings together my background in strategy and business growth with my understanding of the person behind the business. Because our health, confidence and capacity all come to work with us.

I’m proud of what I’ve built, even if I did forget to mark the occasion!

Thank you to everyone who has booked a session, attended a workshop, recommended me or cheered me on. You’ve all been part of these three years. 💜

Happy belated birthday to Liz Rowlands Coaching. I’ll get round to the cake when I’ve had a rest! 🎂 Oh and it the dogs birthday today as well - Happy birthday Nell!!

Well, this was a lovely surprise! ❤️

I’ve been nominated for the Womanifest Awards for Outstanding Leader and Diversity Champion.

The nomination itself is wonderful, but the words written about me mean so much more. I’ve read them a few times now!

Knowing that someone feels seen, valued and supported through working with me is something I’m really proud of. That’s what I hope to do, alongside helping them find a way forward.

A very big thank you for putting me forward and writing such lovely words. It means more than you know.

What a lovely morning with Cohort 1 of my 90 Day Growth Programme 💜

Last week was all about taking a step back from the busyness, looking at what is really going on in each business and deciding what actually needs attention over the next 90 days.

There were plenty of laughter, honest conversations, shared ideas and lightbulb moments, and, most importantly, everyone left with practical steps they can start taking.

Some of the feedback included:

“Small steps and actions, putting one step in front of another to reduce the overwhelm.”

“A great way to take your ideas and goals and put them into a plan.”

“Just do it get off the fence and dive right in. Liz is great and approachable.”

This is exactly what I wanted the programme to feel like: a supportive space where business owners can talk things through, see things from a different perspective and turn all those ideas swirling around in their heads into something manageable.

Both of my current 90 Day Growth Programme cohorts are full, but my next Strategy Mastermind Sessions are on 21 October and 30 November.

Wow, what a week I had last week!

It was a very busy one filled with workplace wellness, inclusion, strategy and networking, and it has felt like a week in which all the different parts of my work have come together.

I had the pleasure of delivering menopause awareness training to Projects on two of their sites in partnership with Training and had some wonderful feedback.

‘’Liz was very informative and friendly, great session even think the young lads were impressed! I thought the whole session was engaging and impactful. It’s a session that should be rolled out across the entire UK - brilliant!’’

I will take that!

Then it was onto Womens networking at where I caught up with many wonderful women and met some lovely new ones.

Then finally it was hosting the work and wellbeing first ever evening social with Teare. What a fabulous time we had. Lovely food, a few little tipples and great comedy set from Bevan and Templeman. It was so nice to let our hair down for a few hours and have a damn good laugh 😊

At first glance, these might seem like very different parts of my working week. But they are all connected: helping people and businesses grow, creating more inclusive and supportive workplaces, building relationships and bringing people together.

It turns out my different worlds aren’t so different after all. 💙

Brilliant morning at the G*DC Colwyn Bay launch! 💜

Such a fab community — great conversations, lovely people and, importantly, a very good croissant! 🥐😊

I also had the opportunity to introduce my Business Strategy Sessions and talk about why taking time out of your business to work on your business is so important.

For me, good strategy isn’t about complicated business plans. It’s about stepping back, getting clear on where you’re going, deciding what really deserves your time and energy, and building a business that works for you — not the other way around.

I’m looking forward to getting to know the Colwyn Bay community and seeing where some of those conversations lead.

Another brilliant Business Strategy session with Laura Macleod, former England Women’s Cricket coach! 🏏

We spent the session looking at the opportunities within Laura’s business, where she wants to take it next and what needs to be in place to make those opportunities a reality.

I often compare building a business to building a house. Before you start decorating or adding extensions, you need to make sure the foundations are solid. That’s exactly what these sessions are about — stepping back, looking at the whole picture and creating a clear plan to build from.
