FROM LONDON TO ITALY 🇬🇧 → 🇮🇹 🤍

After wedding number one in London, Carlie did it all over again, this time in Italy.

As a makeup artist herself, Carlie knows better than most that beautifully prepared skin and beautiful makeup go hand in hand.

Her goal with me throughout her bridal skin journey was to refine her skin texture and create the best possible canvas for makeup application.

For a bride, it really is a collaboration. I work on the skin beneath, your makeup artist creates the finish above. When both have been carefully considered, everything comes together beautifully.

A real pinch-me moment.

Yesterday I was invited by ZO Skin Health to sit on the Advocate Panel at the ZO Innovation Tour 2026.

Something you may not know about me is that I really don’t like public speaking. I’ve previously been asked to speak and teach for other companies and I’ve always said no.

Being clinically confident and being comfortable on a stage are two completely different things.

But at 41, I decided it was time to start saying yes to the things that scare me.

My heart was thumping out of my chest and my mouth genuinely felt like the Sahara Desert 😂 but I did it. And I’m so glad I did.

To be invited to share my clinical experience, knowledge and perspective alongside other respected professionals in the industry was a real privilege and one of those moments where I had to remind myself just how far I’ve come.

Starting as I mean to go on.

Wellness. Peace. And choosing more of what feels good.

A day with my gorgeous Lauren Procter. Breathwork, yoga, infrared sauna, sound bath healing and the FULL 4 minutes in the cold plunge. 🥶 Still so proud I completed it!

And these photos just don’t do SET justice. I’ve honestly never seen such a beautiful spa setting. Incredible food, smoothies and health drinks, with everything centred around supporting your health and wellbeing.

Finished off with a birthday meal cooked by Dad, a cake made by my stepmum and waking up this morning to my favourite breakfast at my parents’. 🤍

Feeling very grateful and very ready for 41.

Here’s to the next chapter. 🥂

AND THEN YOU GET TO SEE THE PHOTOS.

There’s something incredibly special about seeing a patient I’ve looked after walk into one of the biggest days of her life.

Because I know everything that came before this.

Every appointment. Every adjustment. Every decision to push the skin a little further or pull it back. Every conversation about what we were working towards.

And then the wedding arrives.

At that point, my work should almost be invisible.

I don’t want you looking at these photographs and thinking about treatments, products or procedures.

I want you to see her.

Beautiful skin should never enter the room before the woman wearing it does.

And these photographs capture that perfectly.

The tan fades. Not all of the damage does.

This is the part we often forget: skin damage is cumulative.

Some of what happens quietly within the skin this summer may not become visible for years. Repeated UV exposure contributes to oxidative stress, DNA damage and the breakdown of collagen and elastin, later showing itself as pigmentation, uneven texture, fine lines and loss of firmness.
