Long term change comes from exploring those hidden, unseen and unspoken places that take place below the surface.

Somatic movement helps to gently guide you to those places.

This month, I set myself a 100 day challenge! Eeek! I’m sharing this publicly so that I don’t get to just ‘drop out’ quietly.

Knowing that you’re in this with me will help me through those days when it may feel easier to quit.

Sharing publicly, whilst scary, I know will help me stay focused, especially during those times I’m ready to give up, and I’ve no doubt they’re going to come somewhere along the 100 days!

So come, take a look...

There are videos that have movements to explore, though the majority of the videos are actually about somatic philosophy, what it means to live somatically, and how we can create an effective practice.

Today is day 23 of the challenge and I’m really proud of myself for getting this far. To find out more about the what and why, head to my YouTube channel (link in bio).

Until next time, happy pandiculating.

Much love

Karen

Happy National Chai Day from Archie & me! ☕

One of my favourite hot drinks, full of ritual, memories and connection.

Each cup as unique as the many places I’ve consumed them in...and that’s a lot!

Each unique spice blend offering it’s own story, experience and memories.

Chai gives me that warm hug feeling.

Chai transports me to a place and a feeling of connection, calm and contentment.

Do you trust yourself?

What do you feel when you consider and answer this question?

Remembering how to trust ourselves can help to heal painful and sometimes deep cracks and wounds.

Chronic tension that builds up over time can lead us towards feeling disconnected, and it can be difficult to feel and trust ourselves when this becomes the norm.

Somatic movement offers an opportunity for us to explore our unspoken world at our own pace, with kindness and compassion. It helps us peel away hidden tension and reconnect with the essence of who and what we are.

No matter what’s past, we can always create change and re-learn how to once more…

👐 Trust ourselves.

👐 Trust in our unspoken world.

👐 Trust in what we feel.

I’m making an assumption here to say you probably know how wonderful it feels when you’re on holiday and have space to slow down.

You’ve probably felt how restorative it is to live at a slower pace. And, as well as feeling nurtured and more connected, there’s a good chance you probably felt more present too, and as though time had slowed down.

Do you miss this state of ‘being’ once the holiday is over?

What if you could still have this feeling, every, single, day?

What if you could have this feeling over and over, with as little as a couple of minutes intention a day?

Even just a 2 minute soma scan or movement snack is enough to slow down time.

It’s enough to reconnect with the present moment.

It’s enough to nourish yourself

It’s enough to let go of some stress

It’s enough to let go of some of the emotional weight you may be carrying

If holiday mode is the version of yourself you feel most connected, present and at ease, you have everything within you to create holiday mode every, single, day.

I’m here to teach you how. Pack your suitcase and come join me.

Much love,

Karen x

The Natural Movement Method starts Wednesday 9th September 10am (UK).

Learn somatic movement within the context of your life.

My 90 day programme is deeper than just a movement class. This is deeper than just learning the practice. It’s applying it to the context of your life.

Who you are and how you live is wonderfully unique, and long term change does not happen in isolation to this. It comes from embracing and being aware of it, of you.

Learn, embody, integrate.

This is transformation within the context that you live.

This so much more than just movement.

This is long term change.

If you feel a YES to join me and now’s the time to start expanding your life, let’s go!

Click the link in my bio to join or drop me a DM with any questions.

Much love, Karen x

Somatic practice is all about connection, and when we experience somatic movement in places that we have a connection, it’s like it supercharges our experience.

The feel of the warm earth underneath and being connected to the ground is so nourishing and connecting.

Practising on a warm beach is perfect because it’s that double grounding from outside and from within. It takes you to a deeper level when you practice in an external environment that you have a connection to.

Today is National Beach Day and I wanted to share with you some of my favourite beaches where I’ve practiced somatics.

This image is particularly special for me. It’s my motherland - Aberystwyth - and the hill that’s in the background is called Constitution Hill. It has a funicular railway going up it and it’s on that hill that my mum and dad met. So it’s a deeply special place for me.

Do you have a favourite beach or a favourite place outside that has deep meaning for you?

I urge you to practice your somatic movement next time you are there and feel that supercharged connection.

Much love,

Karen x
