As Hong Kong observes Chung Yeung Festival this weekend, many people will make time for family, remembrance and traditions that connect generations.

In a city that moves quickly, moments of reflection can be valuable. They give people space to step outside routine, remember what matters and reconnect with the relationships and values that support them.

For workplaces and schools, respecting cultural observances also means recognising that people may carry different family responsibilities, memories and emotions into the day.

We wish everyone observing Chung Yeung Festival a meaningful and peaceful weekend.

School middle leaders often sit between senior leadership expectations and the day-to-day reality of their teams.

They may be expected to notice when staff are struggling, address performance issues, manage difficult conversations and maintain a healthy team culture, often at the same time.

Participants will explore how to:
• Recognise stress and wellbeing concerns earlier
• Structure difficult and sensitive conversations

One week to go until the free AIA Youth Mental Health Summit in Central Hong Kong.

Young people do not always describe what they are experiencing directly. Sometimes it is reflected in behaviour, responses to family change, academic pressure or the way they cope with setbacks.

This evening is designed for teachers, parents and other adults involved in young people's lives, with three focused sessions exploring how to notice what may be happening, listen to the young person's perspective and respond appropriately.
