A little reminder that calm can be cool too ☺️
In a world addicted to the ‘busy’, ‘the rush’ and the ‘chaos’.

This is your reminder….
You don’t have to be rushing, overwhelmed or doing a million things to be living a full life.

There’s something pretty special about being able to move through the world with a little more space, a little more ease and a nervous system that isn’t constantly asking you to hurry.

Less rushing.
More living.

Our lives flow in seasons.

With each season having its own beauty, its own strengths and its own challenges.

Maybe you’re in a summer season, where everything feels warm and vibrant. You’re full of life, you want to be around your people, and you feel like expressing the fullest version of yourself.

Maybe you’re in an autumn season, where things are starting to fall away. Your days feel warm and cool all at once. A time of releasing the past, letting go, and putting down the things you no longer need to carry.

Maybe you’re in a winter season, where everything feels a little cold and dark. You want to curl up on the bed or couch, snuggle into the people you love, or maybe be completely on your own. A time to hibernate, turn inwards and rest.

Maybe you’re in a spring season, where things are starting to come alive again. There’s a sense of possibility, new energy and growth. You might not know exactly what’s coming yet, but you can feel that something is shifting. A time for curiosity, new beginnings and allowing yourself to see what might bloom.

But unlike the seasons of our weather, the seasons of our lives don’t arrive neatly every three months.

We don’t always know when they’re coming.
We don’t know how long they’ll stay.
And we can’t always rush ourselves into the next one.

Sometimes we desperately want winter to be over.
Sometimes we try to hold onto summer long after it’s finished.

But every season has something for us.

There is something really beautiful about honouring that where you are might be exactly where you need to be.

Honouring the summer and the winter.
Honouring the spring and the autumn.
Honouring the rainy days and the summer sizzle.

Not needing every season to feel good to know that it still has value.

Maybe the point isn’t to always be blooming.

Maybe it’s learning to trust yourself through every season you move through.

“If you’re a good swimmer, people don’t know you’re drowning.”

On my daily scroll on TikTok, I saw this quote.

And it resonated so hard that I almost had to stop the bike.

It’s easy to be the person who keeps swimming.

The person who does it all.
The person everyone can rely on.
The person who chases the chaos.
The person who says, “I’m fine, I’ve got it.”

And when you’re really good at functioning under stress, often nobody knows how hard you’re working just to stay above water.

Sometimes, not even you.

Because after a while, being stressed becomes your normal.

The tight shoulders are normal.
The racing mind is normal.
The exhaustion is normal.
The constant feeling that there’s something else you should be doing is normal.

Until one day, your nervous system says no more.

Maybe it looks like burnout.
Maybe you get sick.
Maybe you get injured.
Maybe you suddenly can’t tolerate things you used to manage easily.

Or maybe nothing dramatic happens at all.

You just realise you don’t want to keep living your life feeling like you’re constantly treading water.

And I think this is where we get it backwards.

We wait until we’re drowning before we decide we deserve support.

We wait until we’re exhausted before we rest.
Until we’re overwhelmed before we slow down.
Until our body forces us to listen.

You don’t have to wait for your nervous system to scream before you start taking care of it.

For me, Vedic Meditation became one of the ways I stopped just getting better at swimming through stress and actually started releasing some of what I was carrying.

Because being able to cope with a lot doesn’t necessarily mean you should have to.

You deserve to do more than stay afloat.

You deserve to actually enjoy the swim.

My mentor asked me today, “Why do I still meditate?”

I mean, it’s 20 minutes twice a day… It’s not nothing.

I’ve meditated for almost 5 years now, and I won’t lie—I’ve missed a few meditations. We’re all human. But on those days when I miss one, damn, I feel it.

I feel it because that 20 minutes, twice a day, is the time I give to myself. It’s the time I get to reboot. It’s the time where I get to step out of the small world and into the big one.

So why do I meditate?

❣️ Because being regulated makes me the best person, daughter, friend, teacher, leader, boss, physio, and stranger I can be.

❣️ Because it makes me slow down, which I think, in today’s day and age, we could all do with.

❣️ Because when we regulate our nervous system, everything is supported—our immune system, our sleep cycles, our mental health, our physical body… all of it.

So, almost 5 years on, the reasons I get myself to a chair twice a day are still there. The reason each day might change but the goodness doesn’t.

We are all searching for something.

The relationship.
The job.
The sense of fulfilment.

Something that will make it all feel like it’s clicked into place.

I had a shift this week around something I didn’t even realise I was still searching for.

And it started with this question:

What if this is the last 6 months where it feels like this?
How would I treat this time?

And then the follow up…

If there is another option… why am I trying to make this work?

Lightbulb moment 💡

Because sometimes we’re not actually aligned.
We’re just attached.

Attached to the idea.
The timeline.
The version of how we thought it “should” look.

And without even realising it, we start forcing things to fit.

Holding on.
Pushing through.
Convincing ourselves.

But when that grip loosens… something shifts.

And it becomes lighter.

It became a game.
A place of joy, wonder, curiosity.

Not because I forced it to be….
but because I stopped needing it to be anything.

There’s always time.
Nothing is ever late.

And when you let go of trying to control the outcome, you can actually be where you are.

Not searching.
Not chasing.
Just experiencing.

And from that place… things start to move in a very different way.

This is why Vedic Meditation is so powerful, it allows the stress that keeps us stuck in that constant chasing for fulfilment outside of ourselves to dissolve.

Today marks one year of being a Vedic Meditation teacher.

A full year of teaching, learning, evolving…
and realising how much can shift in 12 months.

Not just in what I do —
but in who I am while doing it.

To all of my students — thank you.
For trusting me, for showing up, and for allowing me to grow alongside you.

And to the teachers around me who continue to guide and support me — I feel incredibly grateful.

It is a privileged to be part of someone’s story and growth.

Things don’t always have to be over.

But they can be complete.

And there’s a difference.

“Over” can feel abrupt.
Like something was taken away.
Like something ended before you were ready.

Complete feels different.

It feels like a quiet knowing.
Like something has run its course.
Like there’s nothing left to hold onto… and nothing left to force.

For a long time, I held onto things past their natural point.
Conversations. Relationships. Versions of myself.

Not because they were right —
but because I wasn’t ready to let them be complete.

I thought I needed closure from the outside.
An explanation. A reason. A perfect ending.

But what I’ve learned is that completion is internal.

It’s a nervous system that’s no longer gripping.
No longer trying to make it work.
No longer needing more from something that’s already given what it came to give.

And when something feels complete, there’s a softness to it.

No urgency.
No drama.
Just space.

Space for something new.
Space for yourself.
Space for what’s next.

Not everything needs to be over.

But everything, at some point, will be complete.

05/04/2026

When we look at our nervous system, we know we have the fight, flight or freeze response.

Let’s talk about fight. Fight doesn’t always mean fists up and punching out. Fight can also be the desire to control the outcome, to grip on tightly, to find a way to ‘make it work’.

Flight might be to run in that moment. To ghost the person or situation, or to talk yourself out of something. Deep down, trying to save yourself from the disappointment of what happens if you do — or don’t — get it.

Freeze can be feeling stuck in the moment, unable to move. And it can also be the inability to move forward, to know what your next action is, but not allowing yourself to take the next step.

We have a primary activation setting, and then a secondary.
The one that comes in when the first doesn’t get the response we need to return to ‘safety’.

Maybe you fight, and then flight.
You grip tightly, trying to make something work… and then when it feels like you can’t control it the way you want to.
You run.
You tell yourself all the reasons why it couldn’t work, why you’re better off without it or them.

A safety mechanism your nervous system is using to try and keep you safe. A mechanism which is usually out dated and fuelled by irrelevant beliefs.

So my question to you, this Easter is…

Where can you find the prize in the moment?

Where can you find the ‘golden egg’ in the staying and playing? Instead of fighting, fleeing to freezing.

Where can you embrace the unknown of all that is to come and ground your nervous system in Being?

26/03/2026

All emotions have a beginning, a middle, and an end.

When fully felt, they only last around 90 seconds.

But most of us don’t experience them like that.

We get stuck in the middle.

We replay the story.
We analyse it.
We hold onto it.
We resist it.

And instead of moving through, the emotion lingers… and lingers.

Not because it’s meant to stay —
but because the nervous system hasn’t been able to process and release it.

This is where Vedic Meditation can support you.

Not by getting rid of your emotions.
Not by bypassing them.

But by giving your body a way to settle, so emotions can move through as they’re meant to.

Beginning.
Middle.
End.

Without getting stuck.
