Earlier this month we had the pleasure of welcoming Ian Gil-Rodriguez, GE HealthCare Modality Leader – Anaesthesia UKI to our Kilmacanogue facility, for in-house training on the GE HealthCare Carestation CS850 Anaesthesia System.

The session gave our engineers, clinical support team and product specialists a valuable opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the CS850 and further strengthen the support we provide to hospitals across Ireland.

Continuous education plays a vital role in advancing patient care. That's why OxygenCare is pleased to support the upcoming Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) training programme with Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) at the RCSI Smurfit Building, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, on Tuesday, 13 October at 1pm.

Participants will gain practical insights into using duplex ultrasound to assess lower limb venous disease, supporting effective treatment planning and thermal ablation procedures.

Today marks the beginning of National Breastfeeding Week.

Behind every successful feeding journey is a story of love, patience, resilience, and support. This week, we celebrate the incredible mothers who give so much of themselves every day, while recognising the families, healthcare professionals, and communities who help make that journey a little easier.

Breastfeeding can be one of the most rewarding experiences of early parenthood, but it can also bring challenges. That is why creating a culture of understanding, encouragement, and support is so important.

According to UNICEF and the World Health Organisation, 48% of babies worldwide are now exclusively breastfed during their first six months of life, the highest rate ever recorded and a significant increase over the past decade. Building on this progress, the World Health Organization’s Member States at the 78th World Health Assembly passed a resolution to raise the target to 60% and extend the timeline to 2030.

That is a wrap on two fantastic days at the BEAI Annual Conference at the Aviva Stadium.

It's been a great opportunity for the OxygenCare team to connect with clinical engineers, and healthcare professionals from across Ireland. Great insightful discussions and educational sessions had over the two days.
