A little check-in from me 🤍
I know I’ve been fairly quiet on here lately.
Life has been pretty full with a busy day job, alongside studying, reading, case studies and now reaching the halfway point of my somatic trauma therapy training.
But there’s also been a lot happening quietly in the background.
Part of this training has involved experiencing the work for myself, not just learning how to support others with it. And over the last few weeks especially, that part of the journey has given me a lot to sit with.
There have been tears, vulnerability, curiosity, discomfort, some small shifts and some pretty big realisations.
One of the biggest for me has been experiencing what it feels like to be truly heard and held — without someone needing to fix things, offer a solution or make what I’m feeling go away.
I’m also beginning to understand more about my own body and the ways it has learned to protect me over the years.
There’s still a lot I’m sitting with, and I’m in no rush to make sense of all of it.
But I do think I’ll start sharing a little more of my own experience of this work as I go — not because everyone’s journey will look like mine, but because I think it can sometimes help to understand what this work can actually look and feel like.
So for now, just a little hello from me.
Still here. Still curious. And still very much learning. 🤍
Soundful love,
Natasha ❤️🌹
