We’re looking forward to attending the 26th National Orthopaedic Nurses Conference at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh this Saturday, 17 October.

A useful homecare equipment quote answers more than “how much?”

For occupational therapists, discharge coordinators and families, clear information makes the next conversation easier.

Before an order is agreed, four questions are worth asking:

• What exactly is included: the bed, mattress and any accessories?
• Is the quoted price inclusive of VAT?
• What are the delivery, installation and collection charges, where applicable?
• If the equipment is needed temporarily, are rental options available and what is the minimum rental period?

As healthcare professionals in the community, staying updated on evidence-informed tissue viability practices is essential to providing the highest standard of patient care. Looking forward to the hands-on equipment demonstrations and discussing clinical scenarios with the @ PHN Tissue Viability Team.
