Patients and visitors attending any Children’s Health Ireland hospital site are advised to allow extra time for their journey due to ongoing industrial action, which may impact some transport services.

Due to National Industrial Action, on Wednesday 14th of October our Urgent Care Centre in CHI at Connolly will be closed until 13:00pm.

From 13:00pm, the Urgent Care Centre will open for appointments only.

Emergency care will remain available for children who need emergency medical attention in CHI at Crumlin, Tallaght and Temple Street.

Due to National Industrial Action on Wednesday 14th of October, our Urgent Care Centre in CHI at Connolly will be closed until 13:00pm.

From 13:00pm, the Urgent Care Centre will open for appointments only.

Emergency care will remain available for children who need emergency medical attention in CHI at Crumlin, Tallaght and Temple Street.

Due to national public sector industrial action on Wednesday 14 October, all outpatient department (OPD) appointments and some elective (non-emergency) procedures at Children’s Health Ireland will be cancelled.

Families will receive a text if their appointment is cancelled, and CHI will contact families to reschedule. Families with urgent appointments that are going ahead will be contacted directly.

Emergency care will remain available for children who need emergency medical attention. Our teams will continue to care for children staying in hospital.

We understand this may be concerning for families and we will reschedule cancelled appointments as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Technical upgrades at CHI at Tallaght are now complete, and services are resuming as normal.

During the closure period, for emergency care please proceed to CHI at Crumlin Emergency Department.
