A few days ago, during a mentoring call, we somehow ended up talking about money.
My mentor had just come back from a two-day workshop with one of those big mindfulness / consciousness teachers.
She and her friend did the maths.
Number of people in the room × ticket price.
Around 9 million in revenue.
Even after the venue, the team, production and everything else that goes into an event like that…
maybe 6 million.
For two days.
And then she said something that stayed with me:
Millions are available. Money is flowing.
Maybe not millions for everyone.
Maybe not everyone even wants millions.
I'm very open to that possibility.😏
But that wasn't actually the interesting part.
A few days later, I signed up for a money challenge.
During one of the embodied visualisations, I was lying down, completely relaxed.
My body felt soft.
My mind was quiet.
And then the woman said:
“Money is my powerful ally.”
My whole body immediately tensed.
And somewhere in my head I heard:
“Yeah. Sure.”
I smiled to that.
Because there it was.
Not something to fight with.
Not something to immediately fix.
Just information.
A little message from my body:
There is still something here.
I've spent years exploring my stories with money.
My beliefs around it.
My stories around receiving, having, spending and creating it.
And still…
one sentence was enough for my body to show me that another layer is alive.
It made me think about how useful it is to occasionally take an inventory of what we believe.
Not what we think we believe.
What is actually still alive in us.
What does your body do when you say:
Money supports me.
There is more than enough.
It's safe for me to have more.
Money can be my ally.
Do you soften?
Do you open?
Or does some part of you immediately go:
“Yeah… fu***ng right.”
That response isn't something I need to get rid of.
For me, it's somewhere to get curious.
Because we are the keepers of so many stories we don't even realise we're still carrying.
And every now and then, it's worth checking which ones are still running the show.
