Give your children the power to Fight The Flu! 💪

There are many good reasons that children aged 2 - 17 years are eligible for Free Flu Vaccination each year:

▪️Children are more likely to catch the flu than adults
▪️They carry the virus in their system for longer
▪️They are more likely to spread the infection to others.

Flu Vaccination for children is mostly done by nasal vaccination - quick and painless! So make sure your child avails of their vaccine this year.

And that means Colds and Flus! We can't cure either, sadly, but we can work to prevent them and soothe the symptoms. Here are some of our favourite products to soothe cold & flu symptoms. But always speak with your local pharmacy team about what products will suit you and how you should use them.

Why are children covered by the HSE's Free Flu Vaccination campaign? Swipe through our graphics for 10 facts explaining the importance of protecting kids against the influenza virus.

Vaccination by nasal spray* is quick and painless, and can be done at your local vaccinating pharmacy. Remember, vaccination is not just about protecting ourselves - it's about protecting EVERYONE. Those around us may be at increased risk of having severe complications if they contract the influenza virus from others, and children carry the virus in their system for longer.

The HSE advises that all of us should take a Vitamin D supplement from Halloween to St Patricks day each year. And there are more specific recommendations for children, older people, and those who may not get outside during sunshine hours.
