We're having a lounging on the couch day today as the shop is shut for the bank holiday. See you tomorrow from 9.15am 🥰

Storm season is really kicking off with a vengeance, with 3 storms coming through in quick succession. For us, Austen passed without any disruption, but Boelo seems to be bringing the drama. We've an orange rain warning this morning and an orange wind warning following directly on from that. We're planning to be open so long as conditions allow but Sinéad will close up and go home if she needs too, so if it's very wild, maybe give the shop a quick ring to check if she's there before you head. High tides are around 4.45 this afternoon and 4am tomorrow 🌊🌪🌧

It's been a busy week and I haven't had a chance to say anything about the Natural Health Trade Summit Ireland I visited with Liv last week. We saw loads of great products and met up with lots of friends who are suppliers and health store colleagues so really came home with hearts and tote bags full 😅🥰.

One of the new products we found was this One Essence from Salus UK Ltd - a blend of 67 fruits, vegetables and herbs providing vitamins A, B group, C, D and E as well as a number of different minerals all in a wonderfully absorbable form. Think of it as a delicious natural tonic, ideal for this time of year as the seasons change. The Natural Medicine Company were kind enough to offer us a sampling kit so you can come and taste it in store today and tomorrow.

On our counter, you'll also find the special anniversary edition of Weleda's iconic skin food cream. To celebrate 100 years, they are offering 100ml (vs the usual 75ml) for the same price as the normal tube 😀

'Tis the season... to be cozy! And how better to do that than with a cup of pumpkin chai tea from Yogi ☕️ 🫖 🥰

And now the after pictures! So satisfying (although instantly begins to rebuild ice 😅) It'll be OK for a few months again now anyway

It's that time again... the second and third shelves have iced up to the point we can't squeeze anything in there, and the crunchy ice noise is giving staff members the ick! The cherry juice that never freezes properly is making the bottom shelf look like a scene from Dexter (maybe on point for Halloween 🎃🤔)

Anyway... I'm defrosting today so I'm sorry but we won't have freezer stock available

Also if anyone knows why it's always those two shelves or why cherry juice doesn't freeze, answers on a postcard please ... I presume it's a) to do with circulation though I've tried changing what lives on that shelf to no avail and b) a chemical component of cherry juice, but I don't have scientific facts and would be interested

Has your house been hit with pr***en and teen requests for body sprays made by a US brand with a Brazilian name (S de J 🤫)? If you've been being asked but would prefer to avoid the ingredients in those sprays, it's Weleda to the rescue. They've recently brought out these new sprays which are similar in terms of packaging and types of scents, plus they're 100% natural scent with aloe vera AND, even better, you get 95ml for 19.50 vs 90ml for 25 euro! There are 3 scents - Mystic Aura, Vanilla Cloud and Tropical Crush - and we have all 3 in stock now!

Strictly speaking, we're not going to have Friday bread until the end of the month but.... a very wet and wild market day means we have a small few loaves this week. So if you stayed home to avoid the market but would like some delicious sourdough toast with your afternoon tea, call in and pick one up

Excited to receive our first delivery of these new breakfast toppers from Folláin 😋

I'm definitely bringing one of the Blueberry, cherry, chia and pumpkin seed ones home to try on porridge or yoghurt and granola.

Which one would you go for?
