Cancer Care West Support Centre Cancer Care West. The West of Ireland Charity. Supporting cancer patients and their families.

At our Cancer Support Centre we offer a diverse range of services, available free of charge to anyone affected by cancer – patients, carers, family members and close friends. From first sign of symptoms, through waiting for results, during treatment and beyond our centre is here for you and those you care about. Our services range from counselling to complementary therapies, social and group activities. We pride ourselves in ensuring that we can provide support to anyone of any age, offering comfort during what can be a difficult time. The Support centre, located at 72 Seamus Quirke Road, Westside, Galway has been in operation since May 2009. In the last three years, the centre has been visited over 18,000 times by people affected by cancer, both families and patients. The really unique aspect of our service is that traditionally, psychological and support services were seen as being mainly required at the time of diagnosis of cancer.
