‘Feeling Lost’

“Don’t fret, my child, you are not lost; you are emerging.
That old sense of self is leaving, and now you are grieving.
The pain of letting go of what we once knew.
Who am I now? What will I become?
I’m feeling lost and all alone.

Don’t fret, my child, you are right on track,
for I will gently guide you back.
Come sit beneath my trees;
let me renew you with the breeze.
You can clear your emotions
by connecting with my oceans.
You and I, we are one.
Be excited for who you are about to become.

This dormant phase is an important one.
Slow down, pause, reflect, and renew.
When the conditions are just right,
you will burst through.
Then you will see this is who you were always meant to be.
Life is working out accordingly.

Don’t fret, my child, nothing is truly lost;
instead, it shifts form, and then you are reborn.”

This poem was inspired from personal experience. My father’s death was a catalyst for my own death and rebirth. Alongside turning 40 and reaching the milestone of 10 years running my own business.
Nature was my medicine as I naturally healed bulging disks in my back from the emotional toll. I literally was being slowed down!
For others it can be the end of a relationship, death of a loved one or pet, change of location, illness, sudden loss of a career and turning a certain age. I embodied the journey and observed myself with curiosity knowing all would become clearer. I found myself in that forest 🌳
