Celebrating Hidden Disabilities Week in Ireland 💜🔎

Did you know that across Ireland, 1 in 5 people live with some form of disability, and 80% of these disabilities are non-visible? That’s just under 1 million people living with a disability that others may not see.

Not all disabilities are visible. Behind every smile, there may be challenges, barriers and experiences we cannot see. 💜

This Hidden Disabilities Week, the County Kildare Access Network (CKAN) is raising awareness, promoting understanding and encouraging a more inclusive society for everyone.

✨ Believe people.
✨ Be kind and patient.
✨ Never judge a disability by what you can see.
✨ Make space for everyone to feel understood, respected and included.

A little understanding can make a big difference. Let’s work together to create a world where nobody feels they have to explain, prove or hide their disability to be accepted. 💜
