September marks the beginning of Heart Month, led by the Irish heart foundation. Its goal is to raise awareness of the importance of looking after your heart health. You can do this in a number of ways 👇

❤️ Know your numbers: Have your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar checked.
❤️ Stop smoking or va**ng.
❤️ Move regularly - aim for 150 minutes per week.
❤️Manage Stress.
❤️Maintain a healthy weight
❤️Eat heart-healthy foods : plenty of fruit, vegetable, grains, beans, fish.
❤️ Sleep 7-9 hours most nights
❤️ Keep alcohol low or avoid

We should all be wearing sunscreen every day from April through to September, even when it doesn't feel particularly sunny.
✔️ Apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes before going outdoors
✔️ Reapply every 2 hours
✔️ Reapply more frequently after swimming, sweating or towel drying
Remember, sunscreen does not provide 100% protection. For the best protection, always use sunscreen alongside protective clothing, hats, sunglasses and shade.
Follow the SunSmart rules below to reduce UV exposure and lower your risk of skin cancer.

Your creativity and design have been brought to life Liv- an amazing achievement. We can’t wait to see the U8 team proudly wearing your jersey! 🏆

Well done to all of the wonderful participants who entered — the talent and effort on display made this an incredibly tough decision.

A special thank you to our judge sandrabowe_art, who had the very difficult task of choosing a winner! Thanks also to Padraig (U8 coach) and Cobi Sports for all their help in making this possible.
