There was a time when I used to dread the question, “So, what do you do?” 🤍
Especially when meeting new people or going to functions with my boyfriend. I used to feel nervous telling people I was a psychic medium. Not because I wasn't proud of what I did, but because I worried about being judged or people thinking I was a little bit odd. 😂
And then, of course, there's the question I get asked all the time… “Are you reading my energy right now?” 👀
The answer is no! I'm not sitting there reading your thoughts or trying to figure out your deepest secrets. Yes, I'm intuitive, and I can pick up on things, but so can many of us. There's a big difference between being intuitive and consciously doing a reading for somebody.
I've had moments where I've sensed or seen loved ones in spirit around people, comforting them when they're going through something difficult. But that doesn't mean I'm going to tell them. I respect people's boundaries, and unless somebody has invited me into that space, it's not my place to overstep.
To me, being a psychic is about holding up a mirror to somebody's soul. Helping them see parts of themselves they may have forgotten, bringing clarity, reassurance and a deeper understanding of themselves. And I genuinely love what I do. ✨
But something I've realised on this journey is that if I want to build a business where I can help more and more people, I have to be willing to be visible. I can't keep worrying about what people might think of me.
And that's been a huge part of my own journey of self-acceptance. Learning to own my gifts, my title and the business I'm building.
These days, I'm proud to say “I'm a psychic medium." 🤍
Not everybody will understand what I do, and that's okay. I've realised I don't need everybody to understand me to feel confident in who I am.
And maybe that's the reminder here. Sometimes, the biggest part of becoming who you're meant to be is simply allowing yourself to be seen as you are. 🤍💡🌟🔮
